My loading is at 10% normal speed.

Ok, whenever I try and open guildwars it runs at 5-6 kbps. A week ago I was running at 60 kbps. Can anyone explain this? I've looked around for a solution multiple times. I defragged, compressed, and swept multiple times for spyware or virus's so Im almost sure its not my processing speed, or virus's either. Any idea's?

UPDATE: Great now every 10 minutes I drop out completely and it says I got disconnected.

Expect some slowdowns and lags for the next week or so, as all of the new content for Nightfall is streamed to everybody.

The same thing happened in September when we had the Nightfall Preview weekend. Hopefully it will fix itself once everybody gets the updates.

Myself, I have not played this week, putting my characters in "holding" while waiting for Nightfall. Last night I logged on, just to let my game update itself. It took about an hour for it to get all of the updates.

K, I pretty much figured that out, my utorrent was running at 70 kbps so I figured it had to be guildwars.

Well if you insist on running uTorrent at the same time as Guild Wars then you should expect a slower download. Try quitting other programs first, especially torrents.

Ok, you Guys seem to have problems with Anet connection.. Or maybe long loading times.. well If you want all the laoding times to dissapear and have all the updates in 1 single load just go to your "Shortcut" of guildwars and right-click it. Now go to properties, Under the Tab "Shortcut" you will see "Target:" with a specified direction Like "F:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" Or anything like that. Now enter "-image" behind the this.
like so "F:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe -image" you should load everything in 1 roll now, remember to remove the "-image" after the upload. Now your connection to gw will be very direct and you will have no loading times. I hope it helps GL!

Very..direct, huh?

You won't get any faster download speeds just by downloading the GW Image...you'll just have to wait longer and download the whole of GW in 1 go, just at the usual 7kb/s speeds he described above.

Perhaps you'd care to explain how the -image file can increase bandwidth throughput on your connection? The only thing the -image switch does is download and decompress all the data it doesn't speed up downloading at all. It'll still download the files at the same speed due to 2 million odd people all streaming the same data at the same time.

That said, I had constant speeds of 700kB so i'm not complaining.

Yes, listen to Josh. GW will stream you files while you're playing, all these millions of people being told to do -image probably isn't helping anyone. Just means a longer wait until you can play.

IM sorry If it didnt help im sorry.. I think the problem is a combination of several things. Gw server is now uber bussy cuz they jsut started NF and need to send al new player "which is allot" the update and NF info.
Now your pc may also not be the best or your Inet speed, which concludes into slow loading speed.. I suggest you need to get use to it for now, and I trhink it will be better later on.
