Canthan Through Nightfall - What to do next?

Right,

I brought my Canthan monk over to Elona, with the Tyrian hero, and have done the command training and the first mission. When I couldn't find any quests in Kamadan (sp?), I decided to just leg it to Jokanur Diggings to see if I could do the mission straight away, but turns out i cant .

Anyone done this that can tell me what to do, or point out what I've done wrong?

Oh and mods delete or move if its been answered or is in the wrong section.

I have the same problem here, i cant enter this mission, or i dont know how to activate him. I did battle preperations and i am already a general.

Are there more things to do to activate it.

Also i get a strange message from Diggmaster. He is talking about the Blacktide Den mission and not Jokanor Diggings

to do Jokanor mish you need to do all the quests first.

All you need to do if your character is from Tyria or Cantha, is get the Battle Preparations quest, and read what it tells you to do...(you need to do "command training" quest at some point in the quest.

You don't need to do any quest on the island other than the first two/three. I went over last night with my Necro. She is now on the upper island (mainland elona). When you first get there at the docks there are two people there. Take those quest. One is to get your heros (Koss, 2 Monks, Dervish, and choice of Ranger/Ele) and the other is to train you in the use of the hero system [Battle Prep & Command Training] After you do these. You get a quest The Time is Nigh. Upon doing the Time is Nigh you will end up on the Consulate Docks - this is the mission to get you to the upper island (mainland). I did these quest and the time I was on Istan island was about an hour to an hour and a half, start to finish. The longest part was where I had to travel to the area to fight along side Jin to get her added to my heros.

I had a similar problem when I took my Prophecy ranger to Elonia. After the first couple of quests you are pretty much left on your own with nothing to guide you through the game.

As I am trying for my third Gandmaster Cartographer title though, this was not too much of a problem as I explored everywhere. If I was just playing the game normally though, I would have been very frustrated at not having any pointers about what to do next.

This is about the only criticism I have of an otherwise superb game.

I am on the mainland, but it is frustrating that i cant do the historical mission of Jokanur Diggings, while other people from cantha/tyria are able to do it. If i want the Protector of Elonia title, I need to do the 3 missions off Istan

You can do the missions onthe Island. I did two of the three with my Tyrian born Necro. I didn't do the last one (where you get changed) as I want to see the parts of the game I didn't see in the Preview Weekend. I will go back to it once I am through the game. Make sure you meet the requirements for the mission (have the right Hero in party) and it should let you in.

My necro was able to do the island missions.... all 3 of them... but my warrior is not able to do the second one... a friends necro cant do it.... another friends monk cant do it but his ranger and Rit can.... what is the deal.... infact my friends Rit was brought across and did not do a single quest or mission and yet it is able to do the mission...


Something is buggy...

This needs a fix ASAP

To the game programmers,
My Tyrian elementarist can't join or get any mission symbol at Jokunur Diggings .
I have done the training with Koss and gotten Melonni as a hero, why can't the developers fix this random problem? I have reported it to support a week ago. When i tried to join with a friend, there is a note that a party member is too low a level bla bla. I am sunspear rank 8. Black Den doesnt work either. My ELonian Paragon did both without problem. I want help now.

Yes and i have done that and had Melonni in my team when i tried to talk to the NPC that should give the mission at Jokunur. Something is wrong.

-Missions often have a Hero requirement
-Missions also often have quest requirements
-Missions in Nightfall are started by talking to an NPC unlike in other campaigns where you clicked "enter"

So, do your quests, read the requirements that the Mission NPC tells you about and that should do it.

My Tyrian Necro, Canthan Hunter and Elonian Paragon have gone through Istan with out a hitch.

Hi there,

Ok I will clarify a little more than I did in my previous post.... A friends Ritualist did not do or collect a single quest and it could do the mission and yet his Monk having done the quests cannot do Jokunars.

My Necro from Tyria did the quests and it did the missions, my Warrior on the other hand, also from Tyria did the quests but cannot do the missions.

So again I state that there is truely something buggy going on with the island that needs to be fixed....
