This seems boring having to bash on these squishies with my level 20 W just to get to the good stuff. If there is no other way I can see their point in trying to keep us from rushing the game.

It's just 2-3 quests, after that, the mission at the Port brings you to the mainland. Took me an hour to get there.

yeah, I was frustrated about that as well. Luckily it isn't that long.
