Anet, why did you do the armor this way? You can buy 1k armor that is blank in The starter town on the docks BUT it has no slot for inscriptions and no bonus' like in Cantha (which of course are inscriptions). Just how are we supposed to get a new set of armor with inscriptions when you don't even have an inscription merchant for basic armor properties?
Why would I go to Elona for armor when I can go to Cantha and buy armor with the bonus' I want?
Why isn't there an inscription merchant for the armors?
Why isn't the armor on the docks listing an inscription slot?

eh... i am not sure as i haven;t played yet, but armor doesn;t use inscriptions, it uses insignia. So either only armor later in the game has slots for insignias, or you can;t really tell that you can apply insignias to it...

Well as far as i know you can apply runes to armor still and insignia's stack. Even the hench armor has an insignia on it (item use +1?) I also know, since i got one, that they drop from random guys... Not sure about the 1k armor on noob isalnd yet though.

Insignia, yeah wrong word there (inscriptions). You know what i mean though. There is no insignia trader, no insigna slot on the 1k armor, no incentive to buy it. Why did they do this again?
EDIT: Technically it's not on noob isle but on the dock leading from noob isle as the only way to get there is to do the primary quest it seems
but that really is irrelevant to these questions.

Slot? when did things ever have slots? the armor in PvP doesn't have slots, but you can still put insignias on them..
