Grey Giant mini pet, gone forever?

It was unwise of me to delete the dervish character I created during nightfall preview event because it had the grey giant mini pet (completed).I still have the PC gamer mission listed in the features of my account. Im in Kamadan now and entering /bonusitems yields no broken toy, no quest from Mhak and I had made sure I was typing correctly.
I don't know if anyone else has this problem. Pls post if there is a fix to it. I contacted support and still waiting for their reply. Thank You

are you both on a tyrian or canthan?

players have said it works using elonian characters (only) (maybe they will fix it later so it works for tyrs/canths).

Several people have lost it if they don't do something about. There are other threads on this topic already

my bonus items didn't work either on my elonian character...didn't get the weapons or anything..

I had this same problem last night and I think I've tracked it down to the type of character slot you are using.

I had made my Elonian character in a slot I bought from the GW store. I have previously created a Ritualist in a slot bought from the GW store. Both times I was unable to access my bonus items (Factions pre-sale, Nightfall CE etc.) from these characters.

Last night I deleted my old Nightfall character after this problem and re-created her in a Nightfall slot and I was able to get both my bonus items and the Broken Toy for the PC Gamer mini.

I bought the bonus pack -- i have the extra empty slot...though, no weapons on my account..which is odd. It is an elonian account

I did the /bonusitems thing and didn't recieve a broken toy either

So, if we didnt do this quest during the preview event weekend.... does that mean we dont get the option to do it ever again? And if so... the magazine even says that it should work again in NF...

I did the Quest during the preview and then deleted the character.

Today on my new Paragon I typed /bonusitems and did the quest again just fine.

So it is NOT a global problem like "if you did it during the preview you can't do it again" - it seems to be localized.

You only get Grey Giant from PC Gamer November Issue. There is already a thread about this magazine. You don't get Grey Giant from the preorder box. Rather you get a extra slot. You WILL get a new mini pet if you got the Collector Edition of Nightfall.

Okay, maybe I've added to the confusion here. I kinda put two issues together, which for me seemed as one issue but it doesn't appear that that is the case universally.

Lemme break it down.

I bought 2 character slots from the GW Store. On one I created a Ritualist, on the other I created a Paragon during the preview event. I have never been able to get the Factions pre-order special weapons for my Ritualist. I can get them on my other six characters but not this one.

I was able to get the Broken Toy and follow through and get my Mini Grey Giant during the Nightfall preview event.
When I started playing the same character I created during the preview event last night, this time with a CE key added and already accessed to get the mini pet, I was unable to unlock any bonus items (including the Broken Toy for the Mini Grey) with my paragon.

Suspecting that I had the same problem happening that I have been happening with my Ritualist I deleted my Paragon and started it up again in a new Nightfall char. slot. After I did that I typed /bonusitems and got the whole shebang, Factions pre-order weapons, Nightfall pre-order weapons and the Broken Toy.

Now I'm not sure if this is the cause for everyone else not being able to get the Broken Toy (for the first or second time) but I do know that that is what worked for me.

I was able to get the minigiant during preview with the new paragon character. After I've bought the "nightfall", I traveled with the old ranger character to Kamadan and typed /bonusitems. I've got the quest item, but Makh doesn't give "The Toy's Story" quest! Neither new paragon character nor old ranger cannot get the the minigiant (new character cannot even get the quest item). The "Toy's Story" stuff is completely broken in Nightfall - hope ncsoft will fix it soon.
