Less and less People Like it...

I kept away from nearly all spoilers so I'd be fresh for the preview event. I'm really glad I did.

Despite all the bugs, and there are a lot that I've been encountering, I'm still enoying the game.

If there had been some way to allow Tyrian Canthan characters to go over for the preview these particular bugs no doubt would have been spotted, but the roll back after would have been a bit of a nightmare.

Glad to see this thread exploring positives and negatives. I have my own side-question posted on a separate thread, because it only deals with the quality of PVE play in NF.

I have not bought NF yet because Fxn was such a huge dissappointment.

If you have an opinion on the merit or failings of the PVE side, I'd love to hear them on my post. This thread seems to be dealing with both PVP and PVE and I didn't want to alter the direction of the thread. See you in Tyria!

Finally people realized that for gw isnt worth paying 50$ ... For non mmorpg

why not? even in factions I have put 300+ hours, which is WAY more than 99% of the other $50 games.

I gotta say Nightfall is leaps and bounds above Factions. Things seem more thought out, many more user features and the professions have more substance.

I have come up against some bugs, but most are minor to say the least, a few cant finish quests is the PvE is about the biggest issue. The Hero AI is broken enough to limit their use in PvP but thatll change within the next week or so once they start getting all the haloween crap behind them. Till then just make sure you use low energy skills on the monks and youll be fine.

Is it as good as chapter 1? To early to say but it makes Factions look like a free korean MMO. Once we see how much actual content there is vs chapter 1 we can start to rate it properly.

Nightfall is awesome , I am not far in the game yet (I completed already noob isladn ), and as far as I see , the game is doing ok, and I like all teh inscriptions and new things of the update, at least now, you can take out shields bonus .

I started to play GW since it came out, and I have to say that nightfall is great !

guys i have to say, factions was not crappy, not even in the smallest way. there was an incredible attention to detail in that game, great new designs and play styles (alliance battles are different and fun for example). It's very apparent to me that the development team put alot of thought and effort into making Factions an interesting, different, beautifully rendered, and widely accessible game. So many ppl have been repeating each other about how it's supposedly crappy that's it's just taken to be the truth.

GOOD JOB ANET!!!!!!!!!!!!.. I have no complaints so far aside from the old issue of needing more storage (which they are still saying that its being worked on).
For those that asked 'How far have you gotten?' No I havent completed the game with a single character ... Because I am so enthralled by it I am just loving the exploration and scenery and quests. Yes, there are bugs (dyes not stacking, quest bugs, etc, etc) but they will get worked out. Totally Loving it. cya .. back to the game

What peopel are mad about isn't nightfall but the AI bug, and the huge nurf to farming (well not huge but it makes it so much slower and easier it feels huge)

Personally when i get the chance I'm gonan do some more HvH battles, HvH battles are defeinantly the best edition to come in nightfall.

my only complaint so far (note that i do not have NF yet) is that they made actual bonuses for certain titles.
BAD IDEA imo...thats on the lines of giving special bonuses to people with FoW armor, or people with rank 12+...things like that are supposed to be done for the personal sense of accomplishment, and the "honor" of having a title to represent it. the fact that they actually give bonuses now, is a tad on the annoying side, simply because thats a slippery slope, if anything.
eventually you'll see people whining "why doesnt my protector title give me a bonus?!?" "why doesnt my skill hunter title give me a bonus?!?" "why doesnt my 15k give me a bonus?!?" "why doesnt my survivor title give me a bonus?!?" "why doesnt my drunkard title give me a bonus?!?" it opens the door to lameness.

other than that, so far everything seems kosher from the outside point of view. bugs, should be paid attention too, but so long as they have no long-term permenant effects, no sense in whining about them.
