I had a feeling people would slam the game for having bugs.
Factions initially had gazillions of bugs on release, most of which were fixed by the weekend (Arborstone doors, anyone?) There were so many people constantly ranting about it all over the place: 'I HATE ANET BECAUSE THEY ALLOW THESE BUGS TO HAPPEN, NOW IT'S TIME TO SMASH MY KEYBOARD, RAGGGGHHH'
You really can't expect this game to be completely bug free upon release. Besides I'd rather be playing Nightfall right now and allow them to fix the bugs with our help, because I'm sure we all know Anet DO listen to what we have to say on fansite forums and the whatnot, which is much more than we can say about some game devs.
By the way, loving Nightfall so far (just finished Venta's) the heroes are really much more handy than the regular henchmen.
Less and less People Like it...

The game will be a winner for sure!! it feels more like a "rpg" more than any mmorpg out there. Anet is on the right track they have a winner for sure. I am very sure now that worked this product their eyes maybe opened to what they really have.
Anet has hit the major thing that will keep this game going for a long time. the Heros system I bet only add to it. Anet product will only get better over time. The only bad thing is that the quest are like too fedxy.it does lack more end game content for other non-pvp type people. However the over all game play is great, so far.
I am pretty sure this product will be top 5 for sales for sure.

Considering some of the other MMO releases I've seen (Hello Anarchy Online!) Nightfall has been bug free and smooth as silk.
After seeing so many online games come and go I've come to the conclusion that people will complain about just about anything if they're given the opportunity.
Good Job ArenaNet, Nightfall is a huge amount of fun to play.

People bitch for the sake of bitching. I really wish it would stop. I'm probablly not going to be using these forums for the next couple of weeks because the "OMG this game is the sux, I quit forever because of changes to
armor
SS
Salvage system
Titles
etc etc
Ignore them all I say and enjoy the game.

I think Nightfall is alright so far. I am still on noob island with my paragon and the game seems to have changed a bit. For one, it appears that skills are obtained the same way as in factions, skill trainers only. With that being said, where I am in game, skill points seem few and far between. Furthermore, it seems like I am grinding more for sunspear points. Generally speaking, it is fun, I think I will enjoy it, but I think I will still prefer Factions to Nightfall.
I know I am not far so take this for what you will. End result, it's more GW and I am happy about that.

Although with that in mind, I can tell you, it's not easy to catch every bug. I've been at it for years, and I'm good at it (you don't live at MS very long otherwise). No matter what you do, and how long you do it, you can't simulate every single scenario that the customer will eventually end up doing. That's where beta testers and real world users come in - they're very important in the software development cycle.
So if you guys find bugs, the best thing you can do is let ArenaNet know!

Its to soon for me to even say yay or nay. I have been on for 3 hours with a new char doing noob island all over again. So far the good outway the bad. I like the new features, its fresh and new. So far thumbs up from me anet. Does anyone even care if a few whiners threaten to quit, good riddance. Your what makes hero's a heaven sent.

I didn't really have high expectations for Nightfall as I thought the WPE kinda sucked, but I'm really enjoying Nightfall.
The reason is because I've avoided the starter island. Instead of creating a new character and doing boring tutorial missions and quests, I've taken my lvl 20's straight into the main story.
Once I found the pace I liked playing at, I've enjoyed what Nightfall has to offer so far. I like it better than Prophecies and Factions atm.

Right, I know this sounds freaky (which it is) but from the start this morning till the mission finished at Verta Cementery (if thats the correct name) about 2 hours ago, ive been playing non-stop (except for toilet, eat, drink ect..) because I really enjoy it finding the new spots, the heroes are funny as hell cruised around with my Ranger from Factions and made a new Paragon which I find very cool to play with..ofcourse the funniest part is the drop rate of the white dye price ^_^ ..after that "bug" is fixed i'll probaly continue playing :P
Arif,
Arif,
Being a programmer myself, I know "exactly" what it is like to release software to public use. Being my companies solo programmer, it is up to me to do the coding/re-coding fixes myself, which means that output will "most assuredly" contain bugs and any fixes possess the potential to cause other bugs. This process is lessened exponentially with each programmer/reviewer you have on a project but can never truly be eliminated. Consider how many software "engineers" and testers work on MS products and how many bugs remain in those. It's a constant battle and should be somewhat expected. The true quality in all of this is how quickly those bugs are fixed/patched. Standard patches from other game manufacturers were usually stacked patches waiting for a certain time/quantity of patches before one would be released whereas GW, patches via their streaming update system making that entire process one of the smoothest I have ever seen.
So..to sum up...bugs will happen, patches will come, don't complain.....
