Sousuke or Jin?

I have a question about Jin. I tried to equip her with my pet but it didn't show up. Any word out there if she can charm her own? That would rock!!

I askeds the same question during the preview event (but i can't seem to find my thread amongst the 400 other ones lol). I don't beleive hero's can keep their pets...A shame. It took my a very long time to get Koss and Melonni their hippos....it would be nice if they'd keep em.....

So if you pick one you don't get the other. So is it possible to get the other later in the game? Has anyone arrived to that point yet?

I choose Sousuke. I seriously don't like Jin's attutide and appearences. And I love Sousuke's cheerful voice and decent attutide, the Shin-Jea armor and appearences looks cool too.
For builds... I prefer Sousuke too, even though I have to control what spell he used from time to time. *He can't manage his energy*

Jin, cause she makes a hot touch ranja
remove her weapon, and it forces her to use the attack skills(touch's) pretty constantly. has been making for a nice duo farming with me D/Mo. can set her up with the standard WD/LR defense, and won't fire them until agro is on her. tack on GB elite, and ya she becomes very good.
have yet to test sousuke, but imagine the potential is just as solid.

I took Jin. She interrupts like crazy and does some nice poisoning aswell.

My Warr took Jin, my Ele took Sousuke. There are some Ele combos I've wanted to try with some Factions and now Nightfall skills, I'm looking forward to digging in and trying out the viability.

She charmes her own pet. Make sure to put the team & herself on passive & click her charm skill when you find a pet you want het to have. Do notice you cannot remove hero pets atm.

I think my warrior should take Jin to interrupt things and my other characters will mix it up a bit. Think a elementlist will work well for my Dervish!

Took Sosuke because I really wanted an echo nuker.
But then I found out that heroes don't use arcane echo at all if ever, and if you make them use it they won't always use a spell thats worth echoing! One time he echoed fire attunement!

Is there any reason I cant get the quest to get these guys? I did them in the preview but On my real character, Im now level 18, I went to the docks at level 5 no quest, level 9 no quest, level 18 now and I stilll cant get the quest for them, whats wrong with this is there a pre-quest i need to do before the guy will give me something?

Dual elites is certainly something I'm going to be toying with as well

My Paragon took Jin. Mainly for the Interrupting and for Barrage. I love that Anthem of Flame and Barrage work so well with one another. With both of them go it will set upto 6 people on fire. That is just too lovely.
Plus I love the ability that when I go against a group with two monks in it I can set Jin to target one monk and then the rest can work on the other. Works really well with the fast reaction times of the AI. I have her set to R/Me using some mesmer interrupts. I have seen her interrupt 1/4 cast spells on more than one occassion. I find that to be weird since the interrupts she is using is 1/4 sec. So using math it would be impossible for a 1/4 cast spell to interrupt a 1/4 spell.

Now you have to choose between an Ele and a Ranger, you get another ele a little bit later regardless of who you choose. Then the storypaths diverge a little bit and you choose between a Ranger and a Necro. IMO Go for the eyes R/P barrager > pve.

I think Jin will be my interrupter since i usually is packed with attack and healing skills for my wammo. But with Sousuke, i can do melee damage and have him to AoE or other spells at the same time. Decision, decision!

I shoulda picked Jin in the beginning, I set my necro up as part toucher.. and he killed everything... I can't imagine what a real one would be like

I gotta admit, having an ele with me with the same build that i run, and spam nukes against a monk boss is priceless. RoF can't keep up with it till now atleast.

As an aside - not sure how there was confusion that you could only pick one Hero at the time considering the cutscene beforehand dedicated to telling you just that.
