I did a quick search and found that no one had posted on this..
of course we all know spirit bond was changed recently..
but what i bet you didnt know is that spirit bond does not refresh the per 10 hit every cast.. allow me to explain...
you cast prot spirit and spirit bond.. you get hit five times then you recast sprit bond.. after the next five hits.. spirit bond WILL end..
So that is one of the main reasons people are having a ton of trouble with spirit bond.
The key to using spirit bond now is that you have to let it end then recast it.
i will explain: cast prot spirit and then spirit bond.. tank baddies..wait for bond to end... then recast as fast as possible ... use bonnetties as a buffer for the recast if needed..
i was able to easily survive and tank a group of 11 baddies with this new tactic..
try it and tell me how it goes.
this means that they did not nerf it.. they just made it so that you cannot tank infinite ammounts of aggro.. 11 is probably the max.. but it still has many great uses..

And thats really not any help. The power of SB was that Holy Wrath/Retribution dished out a shed load of damage, if your dodging the majority of attacks your still not exactly making good use of the builds original power.

I apologize for that.. i should have searched a tad harder..
but there is no real need to dodge attacks.. the holy wrath retribution combo is still very aplicable.. its just that the monk needs bonnetties if he is going to tank more than 14 baddies at a time.. or if he gets one sb interrupted.

hmm meaning dual UW is still possible - the SoJ + brambles part of my build...

I cant see this working in Shirokken farming where you get hit 50 times per second. Try recasting your SB then.... Might work for smaller groups though.

ya there is definatly a limit now for the spirit bond monk to tank.. but the build is still very much alive.. so that is some good news

I don't think Shiro'Ken Farming will stay alive long, but you can still troll/minotaur farm without dying on the spot. This is because with 10 hits you gain 20 energy, enough to recast it, now i guess you have to spam it instead of just leaving it there.
