Is there access to Sunspear Arena?

Anybody know if there is access to the Sunspear Arena, or is this BI exclusive, unlike the Shing Jea which you could get to from the monestary?

I've been wondering how to get there myself.

It's on my printed map from the CE edition, but I've never found a way into it.

That's what I have, but I haven't found any NPC that allows access to the arena. I haven't done any prime quests yet, so maybe it unlocks after a certain point. I just don't want to surpass level 10 and miss the chance to try and compete in there at least once. I guess I'll shoot an e-mail to Anet and see what they say.

I just received the typical canned response from PlayNC regarding game play issues. Unfortunately, there suggestion to look into fan sites or ask in game only works if the answer is known or announced. Thus far, not one shred of info about this all weekend. Someone ... Anyone ... help with this bit of info.

Have Hero Battles been introduced yet? I think Gaile said they'd be implemented shortly after release. Maybe that's where they'll be.

(I don't PvP so I don't keep track of these things.)

It seems that there isn't any acess, at least for now.

As well, hero battles are already out, you just need to have unlocked at least 3 heroes on your account.


Of all the things out there, noone would have thought that there might be Drakes on the Plain!
