Insignia's for Armor?

After playing straight through for 20 hours I have found one Insignia. This cannot take the place of having normal armors.

ANET have mercy on us please!

I love Nightfall really I do, however the insignia situation is just NOT working.

Either increase the Drops by A LOT or provide an insignia crafter.

I found 2 since I started playing. Unfortunately, I can't use either.

My paragon is level 20 now and still doesn't have a single insignia on her armor. I sure wouldn't mind if they showed up more frequently.

I too have played for 2 solid days and have found not even one, I was told chests are your best bet and still found none.
This is utterly ridicules as armor is basic to this game and not being able to use it because of such a a trivial matter is just not on.
Anet do something about this please

I bought 6 or 7 from the rune trader (about 260g each). You have to be very fast, though - scroll straight to the bottom of the list and buy, don't think . I expect the situation will improve over the coming days.

The problem is, finding items to salvage them from. I found only 2 in 2 days of playing, totalling over 20 hours of solid play.

Maybe I'm just unlucky, but this isn't working for me at all.

7 hours... 1 insignia... an elementalist pyromancer mod.

Right... unless there's some big change or we can buy armour with insignias later on in the game then my Warrior is gonna buy that set of Sentinal's Armour I had been planning on getting from back over in Cantha.

I loved the fact with Factions you could craft up 'top quality' armour as soon as you arrived from another continent... with Nightfall it seems like you will probably complete the game before you have a set of fully modded armour...

Getting them is not the problem I'm having it seems they cannot go on any of my armor from Tyria or Canthia.

Do insignia only drop in Nightfall? Or do the also drop in previous chapters? If they drop in Factions or Prophecies I'm sure people who farm for those things can find a supply of them...

Not really related, but does anyone know if runes from factions and nightfalls drop in prophecies? Been wondering for a while now.

Come on, ANet. It's an interesting idea, but you need the drops to be as common as runes if you're going to be able to trade for them. Otherwise they simply won't work!

The rune trader sells the crap ones that people don't want, any useful ones I find - I keep. I'd imagine anyone with half a brain would do the same since they're so rare. I camped the trader for about 15 minutes and didn't see a single energy one.

Some are camping rune trader all day, they cost only 250 gold (the ones that do show now & then), so I bet they re-sell it (with a 400% mark-up) once people start getting their final sets of armor.

The armor insignias I have found are +2 energy & +10 armor while attacking, the ones I found & sold (to rune trader) are +15 against fire & some other maningless I didnt even look twice at.

I really like that we can customize armor and all but I really feel the same way, get rid of the armor insignias or increase drop rate or add a crafter. Prices shouldn’t be over 100 gold either.

I've gotten ritualist runes to drop in the shiverpeaks so they do drop in prophecies. (mind this was pre nightfall release so no idea about insigs.)

Storage will be the hassle for this stuff until I get around to crafting top end armor for the older toons. (after all, knowing I'll be buying armor for the monk sort of lends itself to saving those insigs.)

about 10 hours of play here, found over 20 insignias so far, played a paragon, alreayd have full 15K armor with runes (no sup spear yet though, only minor leader, command and motivation) and found 4 insignias with the +10 while effected by a shout so I have full centurions now, dunno if the helmet can carry one, shoeld try. But im not having any problems at all, maybe im just lucky.

I have found about 10-15 armor insignias so far, dont know how many hours but i have completed all of the missions and some of the side quests.
Since they drop less often than runes and will be in bigger demand i belive the prices will go quite high until the rune farming will become more common. Most mobs in NF drops runes and there are alot of easily farmable mobs.
I would have prefered a merchant selling them at set prices with a limitless supply, with so many different types some will most likely be in short supply and hard to get.

every armor blue, purple, and gold has an insignia in them, they are quite common. But the shitty party is its not what your looking for, ever because of Murphy's Law. Im really not sure how your gonna be a ble to mod your armor fully but i know itll take time.
