Lightbringer title, aquired at the same way as sunspear title, only different enemies.
First Tier: 100 points - Lightbringer
Second Tier: 300 points - Adept Lightbringer
Third Tier: 1000 points - Brave Lightbringer
First tier also gives the Lightbringer 'aura' which grants 5% extra to, and -2 damage reduction from Abaddon and his minions, for every rank in Lightbringer title.
Second tiers grants the skill Lightbringer's Gaze, which interrupts, does 100 dmg and knocks down a foe in the area for every rank in lightbringer
Furthermore... it appears that ranger heroe CAN have pets, in contrary to what Anet has stated before...
Also it appears that GWEN will return, because I found a 'Preserved Red Iris Flower', which you know is one of her favorite items in the game....

i wont give it away but there is a very simple way to farm lightbringer points fairly early on but it has its complications. hint: some buddies and i had r 2 before the bug was fixed

You actually get -1 damage reduction for every rank, not 2.

They can have pets, the actual message was that SoC and charm animal was disabled in the preview :-|

Anyways, here is what I did. I gained my second tier lightbringer doing djinns from Tihark Orchard (in Vabbi, could be somewhere else, I ll edit if so). There is a whisper informant and a little canyon with djinns and some other dudes (mesmers). Also, there is a Rt boss.
If you clear this canyon you will get around 40 lightbringer points (or 50, cant remember) each run. Have fun being a lightbringer

how do you get accesss to the gaze skill? i am level 2 so should have the skill but checked my skill tree and dont notice. of course i have so many listed i could have missed it. am i missing it?

Greenchlyde, you'll have to go to Chantry of Secrets and talk to the Lightbringer rank person to get the skill. Hope this helps.

I guess it isn't too bad, since its only like half a month old, but this thread was posted before the OP even knew about r3 Lightbringer giving you an elite lightbringer skill.
The third rank skill, which is the second and final skill, is funny too, because the dialogue calls it "Lightbringer's Focus" but the actual skill you get is "Lightbringer's Signet". (Atleast this was how it was when I got r3 shortly after Nightfall release, could have been changed by now)
