This idea was inspired by Why Me's Potential UW Duo thread. Thanks.
Reading the update description, it sounds like the new path to farming uberness is going to look like this. I won't have a chance to play until Monday, but somebody else can try this and let us know how it works.
1. Become invulnerable.
2. Lower health to xx.
3. Continue as before with AoE, only faster now because they won't run.
Step one is the hard part. You can't take any damage at all, and you can't gain any health either, or your low health will rise to full. I see two possibilities to achieve this:
Dervish: Armor of Sanctity + Veil of Thorns + Conviction + Avatar of Balthazar
The first hit from each enemy will bring your health down and give them crippled, activating Armor of Sanctity on each subsequent hit. You then have 60 seconds before your avatar runs out to destroy everything. The problem is, the Dervish AoE's aren't that great, have long recharges, and are spread through 3 attributes.
Elementalist: Kinetic Armor + Armor of Earth + Stoneflesh Aura
You probably don't even need both armors. As long as your enchantments are up, you will take 0 damage from anything (except life-stealing, etc.). Use Burning Speed to bring your health down and you are good to go.
So, this is the build I want to try when I get a chance, if somebody else gets a chance before Monday, post a reply.
Earth: 12+3
Fire: 12+1+3
Energy Storage: 3+3
Kinetic Armor
Stoneflesh Aura
Burning Speed
Lava Font
Bed of Coals
Inferno
Elemental Attunement [E]
Glyph of Concentration (for trolls)/Fire Attunement (for minos)
You should have about 255 health with this setup, giving you enough health for 3 burning speeds. This will drop your health to 35. Put up your attunements and armor, aggro a troll or mino and immediately start burning speed. 2 more times and they should all be surrounding you and burning nice and crispy. Hit Glyph of Concentration if you're doing trolls, refresh Stoneflesh, then drop a Lava Font, then Bed of Coals. Hit Inferno as their health is plummetting, and they should be dead. If any are left, wait for GoC (if doing trolls), then Lava Font again. Only refresh Stoneflesh under GoC if you're doing trolls (remember it covers 2 spells now).
With that strategy, all trolls or minos should be dead in less than 30 seconds from first aggro... if it works. If anyone wants to try it, I'm looking forward to seeing how it works.
Of course, it's possible that the "spread out and only send in 3 at a time to attack" code kicks in even if you're at low health, or that "when they think they’re very close to killing their opponent" takes into account the fact that they aren't doing any damage to you. If either of those is the case, the build won't work. But it's worth a shot.
Potential Troll/Mino solo farming build, faster than before update

Why_Me
Looks good, probably even faster than previous troll/mino farms due to AoEDoT un-nerf (sort of). I just hope that this AI trick works, has anyone tested anything like this?
Progor
Oh, well. Doesn't work. I got my health down to 15 and they still ran off when their health got to about 60%. I tried just using the AoE burn from burning speed, and they still ran off. It looks like AoEing more than 3 things at a time is next to impossible now.
The only option I see left is some sort of sequence that sets up like 4 DoT AoE's all before they hit 60% health, and finishes off with a frozen burst to hold them there long enough for the AoE to kill them. Does Frozen Burst stack with Ward Against Foes to keep them from moving at all? If not, this idea is probably just wishful thinking, since they don't really have that far to go to get out of the AoE. But adding in Meteor Shower might keep them knocked down or slow long enough to kill them.

Hmm, what about not AoEDots, just AoEs. Like aftershock and crystal wave, if you use those will they still run off?
Bloodied Blade
^^
As far as I've tested, they will from some AoEs, (like caster), but not from things like Barbed/Spike Trap.

Ive finished my mino farming a minute ago with my brand new fast 55 nuker build =)
it seems to work!
skillbar:
Glyph Of Elemental Power
Protective Spirit
Healing Breeze
Metero Shower
Bed of Coals
Double Dragon
Balthazar's Spirit
Mending
12+3+1 fire, 9 healing, 9 prot, 3+1 E. Storage
Armor: 55hp set with -50 grim cesta
Strategy: cast mending and balth spirits, enter the arena then aggro 90% of minos and hit that sequence:
Prot spirit, healing breeze, glyph EP, Meteor Shower, healing breeze, bed of coals, double dragon.
now they should be allmost all dead (sometime 1 or 2 survive)

I thought up a similar build after really thinking about it last night. If that works, I'm sure mine will. Mine won't be 55, it'll use Armor of Earth and Stoneflesh Aura instead of Prot Spirit and HB. That'll leave 2 slots open, which I'll take Aftershock and Inferno to burn them down after the second knockdown. Sub in Sympathetic Visage or Glyph of Concentration for Inferno for the trolls and we're good to go.
