Quick question on heroes

If i have prophecies and factions but NOT nightfall can i still get a hero buddy?

I think you need nightfall to get heros

You need Nigthfall for herooes.

Heroes are a part of the Nigthfall campaign.

There is 1 hero in Lion's arch (necromancer - Olias), and 1 in Kaineng Center (assassin, can't recall name) .. do you need to own nightfall to do their quests?

I think that you'll need Nightfall to get Olias or Zenmai.

You can do the quests, but you can't use the hero without Nightfall.
