Unfortunately my character was left in Lions Arch a few weeks ago and when I come to play with him now I have to download a huge update on the town. I'm assuming this is the Halloween decorations.
It's going at 1kb/s for some reason. I've just tested downloading a movie as a torrent and it was pouring in at over 300kb/s.
Is this Anet's slow servers or do I have some sort of 'port' closed that uses a lot of Guild Wars connection?
Has the Halloween Event arrived?

figure between Halloween this weekend and Nightfall launching this weekend. there are a lot of people around some are even downloading the content and not using the install disk. Heavy demand on big weekends like this.

i have found that with the new Night Fall server opening up the game has strong lags here and there. Also yes i have noticed a much slower download i went from around 150-400 to 1
but yah like the previouse person said with all of the new things going on the server is running slow. I also really don't think that they expected this many people to join night fall so fast.
