Alright, so I just attempted this with heroes and henchies. After carefully pulling everything and destroying the portals, I find out I gotta kill shiro and the undead lich. Now, is it possible to avoid them? If not, is it possible to pull one at a time? If you can't, would it be smater to take out shiro or lich first?

lich is easy to kill dont woory about that just ijnore them and retake all the shrines but shiro im stuck with i get him to 40% then bang impossible odds and kills 2 or 3 of my team i have no idea how to kill him HELP ME PLZ

The key is an antimelee necro. Use Spoil Vicor, Spirit of Failure, Insiduous Paracite ect.

Tried that today, but it ended up with all the shrines, the Lich dead & shiro taking the glory...

Stances are the least problem. Break them or not, once you get him to around 30% health he'll start using impossible odds, which owns everyone.

To beat Impossible Odds just make sure you got Spoil Victor, SS, Empathy, Price of Failure, Reckless Haste, and Shadow of Fear on him while you have ONE tank fight him head on while the rest of your heroes hang back.
I did that and beat him easily.

Wow, thanks alot lol. I beat him by putting my heroes in the back. Beat him and the lich, time to finish mission.

What does controlling the 5 shrines acheive? does it make them easier to kill?

Well, I've beaten Shiro with ease, I casted Insidious Parasite and SS on him
and as soon as he casted Impossible odds, he was dead, and mind you, he was
around 50% of his health. The other members also spiked him with some elite
attacks.

Cool beat him on the second attempt.. even with 58% death penalty on my warrior lol (had to keep running away as sometimes IO spanked us all).
Equipped spoil victor on my warrior and gave master of whispers ss.
Was more luck then anything , getting his health low enough then he ran towards all my casters and hit one of them and spoil victor hit him for 75 x 6 x 2 and ss dmg also.
