Issues crashing

I try to run Guild Wars from the shortcut on my desktop, with the line that auto-inserts your password (if that matters). I download an update of about 300KB and get a Loading at 100%. Then I'm told there was a serious error and I'm given the option to send the report to ANet, which I have done 4 times now. Nothing on my computer has changed to my knowledge...is there a server problem? In the Details, this is the first section (thought it might help)

*--> Crash <--*
Assertion: Unable to execute patch file 'C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.tmp'
OsPatch.cpp(320)
App: Gw.exe
ProgramId: 1
Build: 19890
When: 10/29/2006 13:59:23
Flags: 0

The reason for the crash was it couldn't execute my Gw.tmp file.

Help?

Hmm I have kinda the same problem, except it occurs at LA and Grenth's Footprint here. Very anoying since my chars were at LA -.-
Can't play, because everytime it loads LA it crashes at 100%
I e-mail Anet, getting the response of making sure my drivers are up-to-date and making sure you got 2gb free space on your drive. Didn't worked here but you might try it out.

I hope this post is okay...I'm used to Ventari's Sell rules so if rapid posting is bad please leave this, but notify me and I won't do it again.

I don't even get INTO the game, after I download the build it stays at 100% on the grey ArenaNet box and crashes. The game itself never starts.

I've had a similar problem twice today while playing Nightfall. Not while starting game, but once while waiting in Champion's Dawn for guildmate and just now while in the quarry doing a quest.

I didn't think to copy the details, but did send the message to ANet.

Ah yes now I see, sorry for that, mine has to do with memory reading >.<
Well you could send Anet an e-mail with your dxdiag and error-message, maybe they can solve it somehow
