I reached r8 in the sunspear promotion path on my tyrian born character. The npc's will no longer give me any blessings to get to r9.
Anyone else have this problem or know what's going on?

It is most definitely not a bug. The responses from the guys at the shrine easily show that (things like, you've got bigger and better things to do). It would lead one to believe there is going to be another release of content (much like Sorrow's Furnace), but even if that's the case, I don't see why they would need to restrict people from going further, there just wouldn't be an advantage to it.

nope u cant get any sunspear blessings in vabbi area, no matter what npc u're talking 2 - vabbi npc usually say smth like *shouldnt u be helping our princes* and sunspear npc (they're rare) often have empty dialog window

I too have reached the rank 8 Castellan wall. I currently have just over 8000 points, and may be able to find a few more quests I haven't done, but there is no way I am going to get 15,000.
I feel this has to be a bug, or that there is something in the game we haven't found yet.
I can remember on several occasions Gaile Gray saying things like:
"We would never put a title into the game that it is not possible to max".. (not an exact quote, but something similar)
The exception to this is the Lucky/Unlucky series which I think we all know we can only complete during special event.
But anyway, my point is that every other title is achievable, albeit some of them cost crazy amounts of money or take crazy amounts of time, but they are all possible, so there should be some way that this one can be maxed as well.
I feel this has to be a bug, or that there is something in the game we haven't found yet.

It might just be like the Skill Hunter and Lucky/Unlucky title tracks, which previously could not be maxxed? Can't be maxxed out in Nightfall, possibly be built upon in future?
It could also be the case that there can only be one Spearmarshall (or Warmarshall). An earth analogy would be there is only one Supreme Commander/Commander-In-Chief/President/Prime Minister etc. That could be another reason why you can't progress (at the moment at least)

Ok, I was searching the title tracks on guildwiki and found this quote under the sunspear title track:
"Note#2: Once a character hits the Castellan title, priests will not give that player blessings anymore. The only way to achieve Spearmashall as of now is to enter an area just before 7500 points and keep killing foes that can be resurrected by their monks. "
Now, I don't know how anyone else will feel about this if it's true, but I can say for me this made me very angry. Why would they do that? That's gotta be the most moronic thing I've ever seen. Give us a title track then stop us from getting it? WTF?
