I'd like to know what you think of the armor offered in Nightfall, which ones do you like the most, and which were simply crazy/ugly/odd/out of place/etc.
I'm a big fan of the Vabbi armors, for some reason, the style seems very unique, yet classy and functional(to a degree) at the same time. I know a majority of the 15k Sunspear stuff either looks similar to the 1k sets, or they're simple reskins of previous armor, and honestly, I blame ANet for that. What hapened to making a unique skin and not reusing stuff we've already seen? Don't get me wrong, the amors look nice, but they have been done before for the most part.
And I don't even want to get started on the endgame stuff I've seen....too out there imo.
So, your thoughts?

I think the armour in general is alot better than the armour in Factions or Prophecies. The Warrior endgame armour, is one of the best armour ive seen in any RPG game.

I think people were expecting to get fresh new better looking then everything armor to replace their old stuff, rather then what I was expecting. I saw this coming for miles away. Rather then 'better' armor, we get 'more' armor. It disapointed people, sure, but it's just armor. If you don't like it, keep wearing your Canthan or Tyrian armor. It's that simple.

None of the new armor skins really match my tastes, but I don't mind that at all; perfectly happy with the armors I have. I like that the styles of armor are different from the other two campaigns, giving more variety. People that do like the new armor will buy it and the armors I like to wear will be slightly more uncommon.

I'm with Knightsaber. The only armors I vaguely like from Elona are the elementalist, female mesmer and paragon armors. Mt elementalist has 15k Canthan, which is far nicer than any elonian armor, my mesmer has 1.5k Kurzick, which is far nicer than any elonian armor...and I haven't made a paragon yet but I reckon he/she will have to have elonian 
My elonian monk got taken over to Cantha to buy 1.5k Tyrian from the lovely guy in the Wajjun Bazaar. Much much nicer than those horrible choices of armor currently available from the Sunspear Sanctuary. I'll definitely not be changing any of my armors.

the only armors that have sparked the need to have are the ele and mesmer armors......and only 1 or 2 of them. The necro armor is horrible, the monk armor makes my monks want to never visit elona (my female monk was hoping for a skirt and my male monk wanted more tats). Havent seen any rit armor yet, and I dont have a warrior, sin or ranger coming to elona so I dont care about those---the paragon armors arent very different from the starter armor so no need to waste the plat on them. (my dervish is a mule so no need to set her up with anything else---not that I have seen anything else I would like in that armor either).
So I might get a set or two of the ele armor and my mes got the 1k armor dress which makes her happy.

Do we all need armour that looks fancy? C'mon! I like how they added more upgrades for armour etc. That's better than just a skin.

I like all the new mods and whatnot, but I mean - you gotta look cool in battle, or unbelievably goofy looking - it's one or the other.

The only armours that seem to give me a interest are the end game warrior and ranger armours. All the other end-game is just creepy, like the monks. Alas, poor paragons just seem to lack, but then again that is based on what I have seen so far. I haven't seen their end-game or a few others.

The end game Necro armor looks like a chicken suit. Not impressed with the other armor in this game either. Just not creative or appealing enough for me.

The only Nightfall armor I've bought for my non-Elonian characters was for my Canthan ele (chest and gloves only). My others currently wear armor that cost a fortune to make or to dye with certain colors so I'd prefer to keep them.

So far, the only armor I like/want is female ele 15k Sunspear & female mes Vabbian. I bought the ele armor last night for my new ele. (Again, I got OMGWTFBBQPWNED by this chapter having better hair for a class & I rerolled my ele, who was my oldest char at 17 months, with NF hair.) My mesmer will get Vabbian armor eventually. My monk will stay in 15k Canthan. My necro has a nice Luxon/Kurzick mix. My rit has 15k Luxon. I might make a Dervish & Paragon, but I will wait to see what armors they have before I choose.

I LOVE NF, but I'm a little disappointed in the armors. I think factions spoiled me a little because many of the 1.5k armors were as beautiful as 15k armors in Tyria. There are diamonds in the rough out there and I've already got plenty of things to spend my platinum on so I guess I'm ok. 
I'm sad about the paragon armors. Other than the detailing, they all look the same. I was hoping to have at least one that was more gold than white and a heavier looking set (like what Morgan (sp?) wears). GG R/P "Furyzons".

I think the Nightfall armors a wonderful departure from the "expected" armor styles.

i'm dissapointed with ranger armor. i've seen 15k sunspear and endgame but dont like either. however i havent seen 5k vabbi so maybe that will change my mind....

Heh, my ranger is *still* wearing droks druids... Tyrian 15k/Fow = BARF!!! all Canthan armors for male ranger: certainly no better than droks druids... With the only possible exception being Shing Jae. This is all my opinion of course and yours may differ.
BUT - I must admit the primeval looks interesting enough to pick up a set eventually.

I'm not really making any final judgements until i've seen all the armors for each profession. But i'm leaning towards the primevil armor. Guess I like the tainted by evil look.
