Ripped Nightfall Manuscript!

My nightfall CE turned up today and when i took the outer packaging off i noticed the sticky tab on the side off the CE box was hanging off. I didn't think much of it till i took the CE lid off the box and had a quick look through, i noticed the manuscript has a tear in it through the first 10 pages!

Whats going on has someone been rummaging through my CE before it got to me? or was the manuscript damaged during packing? Can anyone tell me if i a missing anything from my ce box, so far i have found:

i dont think anything is missing from your CE, cuz the following happened to me...

-I preordered 2 copies of Nightfall standard edition a few weeks ago from GameStop (one for me; one for my brother's birthday)

-When I picked them up the day they were released and opened mine up, I noticed that the manuscripts had about 8 pages in the middle that were ripped. Nothing was missing from the box as far as I could tell.

-When I opened my brother's box, the manuscripts were also ripped, and nothing missing.

So for both copies of Nightfall, there was about 8 pages ripped on the side, but the rest was all there...weird I say.

Mines riped also. just to first 4 pages or so

Not Amazons fault but they will replace it if you send it back. Such damage would have occured when the boxes were being assembled/packed. Prob an employee who was bored..yes every single box would have been hand packed, can anyone say..boring.

Mine is also ripped 10 pages into the manuscript. don't no what happened but it doesnt take away from the awesome experience that I am getting from playing NF!!!!

well i got 3 pages ripped in my manuscript somewhere in the middle, but other than that everything else is fine.

while each box would possibly be hand packed. any rips in the manuscript wouldnt occur during that process. they would probably be ripped during either the folding or perfect binding process. especially rips in the middle pages. most likely the rips would occur during the perfect binding. just shows that they use a lazy print house and binder. and yes stuffing boxes is extremely boring. and its usually done by temporary employees. generally foreigners that speak little to no english. on the upside generally they dont rip things on purpose just dont toss out the ripped stuff.

It might be bacuse the thing is so huge. When I was putting it back into my tiny little case, and I noticed that the plastic divider was nearly ripping some of the pages.

In the standard edition, probably so. (I have Factions standard and the divider threatens to rip the pages.) But the OP has a CE.

Did you get your little black bag the skill pins come in?! Everyone seems to have forgotten it (even though it's not on the official contents list). Maybe someone wanted the little baggy....

Anywho; my CE manuscript is rip-free although it is odd that so many people's would be ripped....
