question about anti farming code
stefan_moore
can anyone tell me if the anit farming code is account based or character based so that if im farming for a while and go and do some pvp with a pvp char and then come back to farming would the code still be there or would it not due to doing sumthin eles with a pvp char? thx

Actually, I'd like to clarify that as well.
I couldn't help thinking it's IP based. Don't flame. I have 2 Prophecies accounts. I farmed quite bit in one account about a month before Faction. Then I started Faction from the other account since the day it released. But, in regular mission/quest, I've never got a green. The total number of gold I got for that past 6 months are no more than 20. I only got 4 silver dyes throughout the Faction with my 8 characters, and never got a black dye. Is this just a bad luck? Isn't that a bit too much for a faming penalty?

to explain.
a BOT will continue to do the same area in spite of the decreasing drops and eventually get zero each time.
a real person is supposed to have the brains to switch spots.
is it finally clear now?
anti bot as you can still farm your brains til they burn out just rotate those crops farmer

yes but i was asking about how long it takes to go away and wheter u need to do sumthin with that character to stop it or if you can do something on a pvo charactre for example and then come back in "x" amount of time and farm again

the pop up itself simply says do something else for a while.
do the first mission over twice by simply running through it and things seem to clear.
just do something else for an hour

Let me get this straight if you farm with your warrior in Tyria and the code pops up. Then switch to a new character to lets say an Assassin in Cantha do a couple missions. That should be enough to take the farm code away?

I have no proof but always thought it was per character, not per account.

well im having the same problem i have not farm in a long time i am about done in NF and i have not find a single gold or green this is really pissing me off. Them i went to tyria with my W/Mo and run the elona reach mission for a couple time i did not get a single blue item wich is the lowes you can go. So is my account in anty farming problems or i suck at this.

The real, bottom line answer is that no one knows. There have been many threads speculating and suggesting solutions to "anti-farming" code, including ones that claim the code doesn't exist. I simply recommned playing, farming when you need to, do the missions then farm some more.
For the real answer, ask a-net. They're the only ones who know for sure. They won't tell you, but they are the only ones who know.
