Nightfall Elite Mission

So after hearing that people are finishing the main storyline of Nightfall already, I'm curious to see if there is any word on the elite mission that is suppossed to be in nightfall. I'm only ~halfway through the game (i think >.>). I've also been hearing rumors about a new god plane and such just that Anet hasn't opened it up yet. Maybe i missed something somewhere in all these discussions (yes i tried search) but if somebody knows anything a point in the right direction would be nice.

Pure speculation but here goes.
1. Diamonds do not have a use yet, and are a new material
2. You cant buy Stxian(whatever) keys yet there are chests for them
3. There are masters quests, and also the protector of Elona

My Hunch. Do the masters quests and/or get access to the new realm, inside of which is diamond crafted armor..

Where are the Stygian chests?
In the Gates of Torment one of the Secret keeper trades you 1 Stygian key for 5 secrets.

I think I've done almost every Master quest there is.

Then again, there is this area in the last mission that's blocked off for some reason:



The southeast exit is to the explorable area of Gate of Madness but there's no way to walk to the NE.
