Sorry, I imagine this has been posted 100 times before, but I'm quite blind and my search turned up nothing of use...

Can you rid a hero of it's pet once it has one tamed? I'd hate to think I'm stuck with a Flamingo on poor Jin forever.

i have heard that there are NPC Hero Tammers?

Not yet seen one though

I am in the same boat with the flamingo... they ought to have the de-tamer - right next to all those flamingos...

Or at least have cooler animals there to tame... sheesh!

I was going to start a thread on this subject till' I found this one.

Yeah, looks like one of my heroes is doomed to have a flamingo forever. I've asked around and no one seems to know - looks like its something they left out when they implemented heroes. I'm sure they'll be a patch that'll fix this in the future.

Stupid flamingo...

Theres one on the north exit of sunspear sanctuary. From there - turn right, and head across until you see the tamer guys or w/e.

Can anyone confirm if the tamer in Elona works? I know the tamers in Tyria and Canthan don't get rid of hero's pets, just your character's.

I tried without bringing my pet and only Jin's, etc. This is Nehdukah, just east of the entrance to Sunspear Great Hall.

*edit* I just found Dzawan[Pet Tamer] in the "command post" after going around the portal to Jahai Bluffs. This tamer does not take a hero's pet either.

Thumbs down for the oversight, and I hope they fix it soon because Jin's boar sucks.

Yeah...I got to a point where you can tame rats. I dunno why, but I want one tailing me around rather badly. Alas, poor Jin is stuck with the Flamingo, and I took Mr. Whispers...

It would be really great if Gaile or someone from A-net could confirm whether this is something they are planning on fixing, or whether this is just something we're stuck with. i don't mind waiting a while until they fix them as it doesn't take too long to train up a pet but i will have to think alot longer about what pets i give my heroes if i couldn't change it at all later

I haven't tried it yet, but what if you were to drop ranger from your hero and then go back to ranger?

I can also confirm that all of the pet tamers that I have found, thus far, will not take pets. (Outside Sunspear Great Hall, Command Post, somewhere in Vabbi - don't remember where)
