Whether it is a ladder listing the individual player and/or a ranking of guilds performance in HB, why not have a hero battles ladder?
With Alliance Battles there was a "ranking" game involving the map and control of cities. What is the higher level game for hero battles?
Why not have a Hero Battles Ladder?

its not that important to make a global ladder for it, GvG has to be the top.

I have made no effort to say that GvG would be below HB. A separate ladder for HB should not affect GvG.
I guess I was surprised that there wasn't a ladder since most other pvp in this game has some sort of meta-game (if I am using the term correctly).
And instead of having map manipulation or holding the hall type scenerio, a ladder would be the easiest way to do it.
Plus it could be a fun way to include individual recognition - maybe have the ladder reset every week or month.

/signed. I'm all for it. Somethign for serious PvPers to do while waiting for guilds to sign on and do GvG.

Due to the numbers involved - I imagine that creating a database rating individual players might be rather large. Maybe make it so that they only start your "ratings book" for the week or month after a determined amount of unrated battles.
If the table is reset each week maybe start the book after 10 or 20 hero battles? More if the reset has a longer period.

If this happened I guarantee the top 100 in hero battle builds would be 3 monks and a runner... thats all you need and you can't lose since all you have to to do is cap the shrine that gives you the mercenary and then use your numbers advantage to cap the center and wait it out. Its stupid but it will net you a win on every map except the one with the catapult or against another team built the same way.

Hero Battles are rather pointless at the moment. Most the time you don't ever get max faction because the other person leaves when you kill his monk. And if you say "PvP isn't for faction or rewards" you don't see my point. Hero Battles are very easy to win if you have any inkling of sense and I've only lost a couple times. What do I have to show for it? More faction...yay!

Well, thats not true at all, a good player will see that the enemy is 3 monks and a runner and camp the main flag first, sure it would be a borring 10 mins but gg.

When you win a hero battle you are just kicked out to outpost, that's plenty lame IMO; and no title, nothing. It feel like a "hero testing" arena, and outpost are always emply. Developers must add something like a title for 10 wins (or 5 wins) similar to Gladiator title.
About a Ladder, it's a good idea too, just adding a NPC like some missions in Factions.
Some people insist it's enough the fact you win Balathazar factions there, but IMO that is NOT enough, because I can win more in HA, TA, RA and at the same time win fame and/or titles.
Edit: And don't forget there are people with ALL unlocked.

This is probably the biggest expansion of all. Given the introduction of Hero Battles with the release of Guild Wars Nightfall, it only makes sense for us to offer this as an additional format for competitive play.
Starting in early 2007, alongside the 2007 Guild Wars GvG World Championship series, we will run a similar series for 1v1 Hero Battles (1 player and 3 Heroes vs. 1 player and 3 Heroes). .
