Nundu Bay Mission Bugged?
Blackhawk
Done this twice now to make sure I wasn't seeing things, cleared EVERYTHING on the map in the whole area including inside the fort for the Bonus, cleared the Margonites on both sides so that the Harbinger just had a small group in there which we took out first, was just about to kill the Harbinger, it must've had about 10hp left when everything we'd cleared respawned again either side of us and wiped us out.
Anyone else had this?, because I'm pretty certain that's not right, as I'm not being funny but you'd never get the Harbinger down to that level of HP with that lot in the way would you and especially with henchies (well no one was on apart from a group who spoke no English)....

I failed this mission twice and realized that there are patrols that come in to the center when your fighting the harbinger of nightfall. I cleared the whole map before I attached the harbinger and things came running in. I would back out and kill them off, then go back to work on the harbinger. I had both monk heroes and monk npcs in my party.

Patrols from where though
, I checked the whole map twice to see if anything respawned which it hadnt, and even sat and watched the Harbinger for 5 minutes before deciding to attack it to suddently get 1 mob just pop up out of thin air at that stage of the mission says somethings wrong
.
Almost as annoying as half of us getting split up from the team after the cutscene and stuck behind a locked door on Moddock Crevice, didnt realise that part of the mission involved trading vamp weapons and rebirthing people through doors, and Dunkoro didnt mention it either - praps it could be added as a suggestion

Its not a bug, its supposed to happen, its just a difficulty to this mission. Ever heard of Urgoz spawning minions at a certain health level? Well the Harbinger works the same way.
How I tackled this mission (with henchies, like all missions): Kill everything outside, try to pull the Harbinger away as far from the middle of possible, standing on either side of the spawns. Keep whacking until he summons mobs. Kill mob on your side, try to pull Harbinger in your range again. Depending on the 'annoyability' of the other mob, you can choose to kill them first or if they dont bother you that much, kill the Harbinger first.
I dont know how the spawning works exactly, but for me, he spawned 2x a group of margonites on both sides. Just keep an eye on the radar and try to avoid fighting 2 mobs and the harbinger at the same time.
One thing that did suck hard was when I got to the pre-endgame mission, where you get to kill Abbadons generals (1.5 hrs to get there). Just at the moment I started wacking at the last general S, I got an err 7 :S...

Same thing happened to me, they spawned when he was on 10%. Doesn't seem like a bug though really.
Either way, It wasn't that hard to kill him... I prepared a spike after every vial usage, so when I vialed him when he was on 10%, we spiked straight after and he died before the mobs even got to us.

K guys thanks for replies, least it's happened to some of you as well, I'll have another go a bit later on as Mad Kings more important

Thats not a "bug" - The Harbinger respawns the Margonite and makes them join the fight when he is low on health.
Its best to just Set your heros target to the Harbinger so They'll go ahead and finish him off through all the fire (You have to manually push their target button on their hero screen, or their AI will select their target for them).
If you cant kill him fast enough...reconsider your hero builds.

I am confused...I have just tried this mission...Killed two harbingers which ventured into the middle...along with a few groups of margarines..sorry, Margonites...and then nothing. Everything stopped. I went outside and aggroed some Margonites and killed them thinking it might trigger something but no.
Am I supposed to kill EVERYTHING outside the walls?

I went in with a PUG, we destroyed everything, with the Harbinger being the last one, and we completed the mission no problem.

No. It isn't plain as day, so I can see where the confusion lays.
Once you killed the Second Harbinger,Antoher Harbinger and the Elder says a quick line of text. From this text you are supposed to get what ot od next, even though your mission objectives dont update,
What you do is make your way to the Fort at the center of the map (where The Avatar of Melandru guy usually is), and kill the Harbinger there.
You are NOT required to kill all the enemies outside, even though some do out of fear of the Harbinger's power at the end, but this is just a waste of time since he can respawn them anyway, so its just as good to fight straight to him.

I've killed everyone and still nothing happens. Is the Elder supposed to be with me? cause hes been at the beginning since the start of the mission. It says I've killed 2 harbringers but I cant seem to move on.
Chinson Windancer
well. anyone have problem with bonus mission? I kill those 2 hardbringer in fort, but nothing happen, still 0/2 to kill

Yes.
I just spent an hour clearing that goddamn map after my 5th try and finally realising there's other ways of beating the mission than trying to withstand all the mobs at the beginning.
I cleared the entire map.
Everything.
Went back, started the actual mission, got all the way to the Harbringer of Nightfall and it was at about 30-50% HP, decreasing strongly, and about 10-15 or so Margonites spawned out of absolutely nowhere and blocked me in, thus I could not retreat, and even as I tried I just got pummled anyway.
Where HE respawns them or not, it makes this mission ridiculously time consuming and so ANNOYING.
The same thing applies to this mission's variant, Jennur's Horde.
I spent so long trying to beat this mission and couldn't with Heros and Henchies. I tried finding a group and could not, so I continued my attempts with my heroes etc.
I don't understand why the mobs just keep coming and coming and coming.
It's so unrealistic. I get almost the entire way through the mission and end up getting swarmed by random spawned mobs.
I'm so aggrivated!!

Sorry for second post:
Your response was to the op but applies to me as well, so I'll try that.
I'm just tired of trying to be patient with some of these missions when they end up being so ridiculously tedious.

Where HE respawns them or not, it makes this mission ridiculously time consuming and so ANNOYING. Kill him quickly while he's alone: The Margonites spawned for me just a fraction of a second before he was dead, so no problem there: cut-scene triggered -> End of Misison

Yeah I beat it with the bonus/masters first try. I didn't have this problem
Edit: @ Chinson
0/2 means you have 0 left to kill. In other words you have killed 2. You'd have a problem if it says 2/2
Wording is important gotta read it for what it is.

I had the same problem - spent ages clearing everything out and then died at the end. My undoing was that I was a close range character in an all hero/hench party - once the Harbinger was down to about 10% health, he disrupted my Vial of Water skill constantly, making him all but invincible, all thw while with margonites spawning in by the second on either side and decimating the hench. Yeah, you can say I was stupid not to pull him out of there, but then again, how was I to know he summons? Anyway, went and did Jennur's Horde instead. Cakewalk by comparison.

Really? I thought the Nundu was a bit easier. I just couldn't keep the spawns from coming in Jennur's Horde. Had to keep running farther and farther back for the Seborhin Light... aaah!
Nundu, the enemies are tough. But they didn't keep on coming like in Jennur's. Got masters with hench/oes. (Not that there wasn't death! There was death all right...)
I didn't know Harbinger would spawn when low on health? I too killed him and then the cutscene happened. Guess I got lucky.

Y.T.
i did it with hero/henchy 1st try no bonus tho, but w/e.
i cleared all the map but harbinger in the center, lvl-ed up my heroes (melonni was lvl8 or lvl10 when i started the mis) so it the waste of time, then i fought few bosses (rit among them and i forget the capsig
) and 2 harbingers, at some moment there were nobody to kill and of cos i missed w/e the elder said, so i just decided to go ahead and kill hardbinger just for the h*ll of it. i think i had 2 monks and melonni, koss and eve and paragon hench, cant remember whom else, mb earth ele hench or mesmer hench, i spammed spirits like crazy and harbinger never looked my way, he was too busy killing spirits and trying to cripple koss, so i used special skill all the time, he never tryed to interrupt me. i think he spawned margonites when he was at 30% dp but henchy/hero continued to attack him even after margonites appeared at radar, and newcomers decided to kill spirits 1st (evrthing in NF hates spirits lol) so i had enought time to spike harbinger 2ce and kill him to end the mis (some of henchy were dead when i finished off harbinger tho, cos margonites can kill spirits quite fast
)
i cant say it was a hard mis, its just long and boring, but its ok, it could be worse....

Did this mission first try today with all Hero/Hench group and I got bonus!
I spent agggeessss trying to look for the non-bonus Harbringers and I found you have to stay back and defend Jonah, I went out and killed half the map ^_^
Luckily I cleared the fort so The Harbringer posed very little threat even with his Margonite chums.

That is completely wrong, you have it backwards. Its "You have defeted #/2 additional Harbingers". 2/2 means you have killed both.

First off, thanks for the insight in this thread, I managed to get Master's just now.
To the person who had the 0/2 problem, you need to kill the surrounded Margonite group to get credit for the kill. I didn't get updated until I killed their lackeys. Hope that helps.

For the 0/2 credit, also note that there are actually 5 harbingers. The two that come to eat the Elder don't count towards the bonus.

Hi guys just completed this with the bonus so heres the info.....
After the waves are finished where u start with elder jonah he will stay there.
To win without the bonus head south west to the rupture in the fort there is a trench there u can work your way along and there is the harbinger kill him and that is the end of the mission... as his health gets low more troops will rush in to help him so put him down fast...
Now for the bonus u need to kill 2 additional harbingers they are round the back of the fort i.e. pull up the map and where the nundu bay map marker is head north east from there... they are both in there with large groups of margonites. kill these 1st to get the bonus...
So looking at the fort on the map the top half of the fort(North) has the main harbinger and the bottom part of the fort(south) has the 2 bonus harbingers...

Nothing sucks worse than spending 30-40 minutes killing the groups and then get killed on the additional Harbingers. It happened to me a couple of times. Last night finally got Masters! We went out before talking to Elder Jonah and killed everything including pulling out the Harbinger groups and killing the Margonites with them. (Couldn't kill the Harbingers at this point, but if you can get the Margonites it makes the Harbingers Cake at the end) Then we went back and took the mission and killed the incoming groups and the first 2 Harbingers then we went and got the extra 2 for the bonus and the last one. The last one does respawn Margonites, but by that time he is low enough on health you should ignore the Margonites and just finish him off. We had 2 people with the "Holy Water" so as soon as the Harbingers stopped taking damage the other person threw their "Holy water" on him. Worked well.
Rera
My friend and I found this mission puzzling when we first did it, but mostly because we didn't know what to do after the waves stopped coming.
In terms of difficulty, I think this mission is actually rather low on the scale, although having more than one real player helps tremendously because you will be able to chain Holy Waters to kill Harbingers more efficiently. The groups of Margonites out in the mission area can be skipped. Just run around them, gank the Harbingers, and collect your Master's reward. I don't understand the point of clearing all of the monsters.
