Heros, Runes and Attributes

I am sure that most of you have worked out by now that if you put an attribute rune (for example Superior Marksmanship) on your Hero's head piece, the head piece will become attribute +1, stacking (In this case Marksmanship +1 stacking). So this together with the rune you added will enable you to get your hero up to 16 attribute points in whatever attribute line you choose.

However, has anyone worked out if it is possible to easily change the head piece rune/attributes without replacing the rune?

What I mean is, if you wanted to have 16 attribs in something else, it seems you have to buy a new superior rune to replace the original one on the hero's head piece. This would work out pretty expensive if you had to buy a new superior rune every time you wanted to change your build.

Alternatively you could try and salvage the original rune but by doing that you risk destroying the head piece (at least that's what it looks like).

If you did proceed with the salvage and then destroyed your hero's head piece, how do you replace it?? Would you have to do one of the challange missions?

Anyone got any ideas?

You can't destroy the headpiece, so just go ahead and salvage it if you need to swap runes around. Worked for me several times.

Same here worked everytime i did it which saved me I don't know how much money and besides the rune i wanted the trader did not have at the time so i am glad that i could salvage it out. thank you AN for that one....
