Insignia questions

I'm getting kinda confused here about insignias.

Do they stack?

Here is the list for the names and stats.

So for example, if I combine the mesmer Virtuoso's, Artificer's and Anchorite's would I be able to get the benefit of all insignias globally?

If it is then its nice for warrior armor for example, if its globally then you can use all the warrior insignias then add the runes that give the +2 energy and you get yourself a super armor.

I like my energy and for the mesmer I always buy the enchanter, and with insignias, I can get the stats I want but with no energy bonus.
I can add the +2 energy rune to each piece of armor but at the cost of attribute runes such as fast cast/domnination etc.

Anyone can shed a light on this?

They dont stack. The effects are applied like previously, apply an armor bonus piece to one armor piece and it affects ONLY that armor, and when you get hit on that armor.

Also, can I apply insignias to prophecies armor? Will it replace the old effects?

No, Just like before armor bonuses are LOCAL to that peice of armor.

This is valid though. If you wish, you can use other Armor bonuses (remembering they are local) while using the attunement runes to make up for the energy, but like you said..at the cost of not having space for attribute helping runes.

All Tyrian and Canthan items are uneffected by the update - you cannot add Insignas to the armor, just like you cannot add to or salvage Inscriptions from the weapons.

So now to recap, if I want the enchanter armor stats then I can use the "Radiant Insignia" and then add the mesmer runes.

What sucks is that the vitae and runes alike don't say none stacking. . .but you can't stack another rune on it. Bizarre.
