What to do AFTER you beat Nightfall (***CONTAINS SPOILERS***)
Guildmaster Cain
Talk to Kormir to find out more how to commune with the NEW statue in Chantry of Secrets (ToA-equivalent).
Unfortunately, the new Goddess doesn't offer a new elite area (YET!)
After you have tamed the wurms, you will be able to travel between Elona and Tyria's Crystal Desert via wurms. Talk to the NPC's in the Arid Sea and the Crystal Overlook to do this. (This is still a not very usefull way of traveling, only for NF characters it may be usefull, since they can access the Crystal Desert, without having to do the missions before. It would be better for Anet to make a new map icon for this)

Huh? Can NF-only accounts get to tyria?

No they cant. What I think he meant was your Elonian characters can get a shortcut to the desert this way, if you have a prophecies account linked, and are interested to skip Ascalon-Kryta-Maguuma etc.

Entering in from the desert probably makes for a more smooth transition from Nightfall players to first-time Proph players anyway.

Well, I havent tried it on a Elona only account, since I dont have one. But I guess it would not work.
The benefit, as Anarkii said, would be to skip certain parts and get ascended faster, so you can join buddies in ToA for instance.
Another note: you can take this shortcut, as soon as you have unlocked the Wurm-riding capability.
Sadly enough, this does not make a new clickable icon on the map available... IF anet would do this, this shortcut would become actually very usefull. Not having to go to the waay 2 busy and laggy cities of Kamadan and LA would same me a lot of loading.

Guildmaster, did you already go in the crystal's desert before? My new dervish can't travel to crystal desert this way but my prophecy monk can do it.
If there is a quest to do before, please let me know about it
. (But i don't think i forgot any quests... )
If you need to reach the crystal desert before being able to travel this way, this is really useless

Theres a quest right there in the area of all the NPC's (wish i had the map). It's sort of east and slightly south of the portal) and it's called family ties or something. This is where you go to arid sea, find the bleached bones and then go kill that monk scrab queen outside of augury rock (kepeteph?). Don't think you need any prior quests to ge there though. It's 2500 xp, like 150 gold and an ancient relic.

I finshed the game, but Shanrah won't give me the quest. I saw on wiki that it's glitched for some players.

Note that for a Time this portal between the desert and nightfall was bugged.
Someone posted that they had a Nightfall Trail Key and got to this area, and once the key ran out they were STILL ABLE TO ACCESS NIGHTFALL by going back through this portal from the Arid Sea.
I would hope this has been long since patched over though.
