Question about Nightfall Access Keys (NOT ASKING FOR THEM)

Well I bought the game today and well I thought it was going to be just a simple day in the neighborhood just like when I got the other two games... Yet when I tear the 3 sides to the access key card I have 3 serial keys staring me in the face!!!

I know I use the regular Guild Wars Nightfall key for myself but I was wondering what are the other two keys for? Those two access keys are:

Guild Wars Epic Trial* Key
and
Guild Wars Nightfall Buddy Key

Does that mean if I give my friend a key he doesn't have to buy the game? Just wondering because I don't want to be screwed in the end.

The trial keys last for 14 days or 10 hours, whichever comes first. The Epic key is to try Prophecies and Factions, the Nightfall one is obviously for Nightfall. After the 14 days or 10 hours, he'd have to buy the game.
