Dyes don't stack...why

I have this problem since NF's out and wonder do you guys face the same problem.

My dyes from cathan and faction can't seems to stack with the dyes that I've picked from Elona. Even sometimes the dyes of same colour I've picked from elona cant stack with one another....and now I am facing a storage problems...I have 4 slots for red dyes, 3 slots of blue, etc.

Is it a bug? How to make them stack?

It's a bug.

Apparently it has been fixed. I got a dye drop in Elona yesterday which stacked fine with my canthan/tyrian dyes.

Can someone else confirm?

Heck, I had 7 yellow dyes from before the update... then I picked up another yellow.. and then one more later with a different character.

Today I was going to go through and clean out my storage and I figured I would end up with two yellow dye stacks. Nope.. I have THREE!!! For some reason I couldn't stack even the two single yellows in any combination. So at least for me earlier tonight, I couldn't stack dyes flawlessly yet.

I've been unable to stack my pre-Nightfall dyes with Nightfall dyes.

What's more, I can't even MIX my pre-Nightfall dyes! ARGH. >.<

Amended: NM, I figured it out. So THAT'S the preview screen people were talking about. ^^

I am also having a dye stacking issue. I scored a black dye and 2 purple dye on drops along with a purple dye from the dye trader quest. I almost freaked when i couldn't stack my black dye with my old tyrian/canthan dyes. What's even more puzzling is that none of the purple dyes will stack. the two that dropped or the one i got from the trader.

On an interesting note, the black dye i have is labeled as 1 gold, as are the two purple dye that dropped. My old dyes are also marked at 1 gold a piece, but the purple dye i got from the trader quest is labeled at 25 gold. Does anyone thing that might be whats causing the nonstack error?

the problem is not the canthan/elonian/tyrian drops stacking. its that pre-patch dye's will not stack with post-patch dyes

Scrolls don't stack either. Was fixed but has gone bad again.

I had two browns, both obtained in Nightfall, that wouldn't stack. Finally used them this morning, but I hope this issue is fixed by the weekend double dye drop.

More likely the double dye drops are to make up for all the dyes we're throwing out from sheer frustration/lack of storage space.

Anet is aware of this dye-problem, and is working on it to fix it as soon as possible. Patience. Some goes for the commendations/tokens.

I've got an entire freakin backpack full of dyes that won't stack! My mule character just makes sloshing noises running around the Guild Hall.

My dyes have gone back to not stacking again too. Well, some of the new drops I get stack, and some don't. This isn't the only thing I have issues with stacking either. My newly recieved imperial commendations and monastary credits don't stack with the old ones i had in storage. Since I don't use them all right away, this kind of kills my storage space. I'm sure it will be fixed soon (I hope).

Wouldn't it be nice if we had extra storage right about now? Ah wishful thinking. But yeah I don't think this is the replacement for dyes because no one in their right mind is going to be throwing out 26 black dyes just because their fustrated. I mean I literally have hundreds of stored dyes squirrelled away for later chapters so I can dye my armors every color under the rainbow (The Flaming Pink Warrior was a nice one shot). I'm glad to hear that the Devs are working on fixing it, it would be nice to hear about it from them though rather then a player who heard about it from another player and so on.

Don't worry, in a short time... I'm sure there'll be a patch that would fix this bug.

It is kinda weird actually. I have a stack of 30 red dyes from before the update. A new red dropped for me over the weekend and it did not then nor would it last night stack with the old ones.

I got another red drop last night and it does stack with the old 30. I didn't try stacking it with the new red, too late now.

I must say that the new dye mixing interface is sweet! GJ Anet on that one!

From reading in the tech threads, someone pointed out (in case of dye at least), Cantha/Tryia dye stack among there own, NF dye stacks with itself but not with Cantha/Tryai dye.
