Heroes and customized weapons

I saw somewhere that it was stated that heroes could wield customized weapons. So, here are my questions:

1. will they get the 20% damage bonus?
2. say I have a ranger hero, but no ranger toon. If my necro customizes the bow, will the ranger hero get the bonus?

They are the same question...

...but from reports, yes.

1. Yes, all your heroes would also get the bonus, even though the weapon is customized for you. This even includes rangers that belong to your necro character and the weapon is customized for the necro.
2. doesnt matter if its customized for ur ranger or necro, only that character and HIS heros can use the item customized for it.

Guildmaster, I tested #2 and you are right........I tried to put a customized Brohn's Holy Staff on a different character's hero monk and he wouldn't take it.....(so he got Scar Eater)

I put one of my Customized Bows on Jin and she took it. However it lost the 20% bonus of customization.

When I put it back on my Ranger the 20% was back for him.

So I really dunno how all that there works.
