Double Dye Drop Weekend! Any good locations?
revelation
Hey guyz, you all now that next weekend dye drops will be doulbed at Elona.. So I was wondering does anyone have any good build/location for farming dyes in Elona? Thanks.
Painbringer
I got a couple farming for roots this weekend outside of the main city on Newbie Island. Not far enough in the game to know if it is a good spot
Builds - Basic dervish skills with the monks healing breeze for healing. Increased attack speed buffs are awesome on a dervish for damage.

I have been farming Sunpear Ranks outside Sunspear Great Hall, killing those Stalking Nephilas. Got couple dyes from there

benjef
Activate Anti Farm code and so im told they drop alot of dyes
White_Chaos
I would farm low lvl monster for dyes
Bloodied Blade
If it's only in elona that unfortunately rules out the almighty pre-sear dye farming... I would say just wherever you can find low lvl creatures en-masse.

Any dyes i got in Elona didn't stack with the dyes i had already from tyria/cantha. any ideas why that would be?

Because ANet needs to throw their updates together properly. Imperial Commendations pre and post update also don't stack.
Monk Klausner

if only cyclone axe didn't cause vermin to scatter, I'd say vermin farming is good
So I submit: that huge undead mob behind the stone house by oink in Gates of Kryta mission. Get a bigger mob by killing a couple of the undead chasing the farmers at the start then head right to, and behind, the stone house.
This is where I was farming decayed orr emblems to turn in for absinthes, and got a few dyes.....my first brown too.
edit: the quick build I used is wammo, with judge's insight and live vicariously + balth spir + vig spir, attacking with cyclone axe and triple chop

if you use monk healing, why not take something decent at least? also, any level 20 char soloing things outside of the maintown needing heals should die. lol they die in one hit and deal for 2-3 on 60 AL geez :/

I agree with you, but I am a low level - I was making too much money during the event selling roots to advance my character and go any further. Wts 5 roots 1k moko

People, first off, ELONA ONLY, so stop posting bs about undead kryta, vermin, whatever. READ THE DESCRIPTION OF THE WEEKEND. Secondly, YES there are specific places that dye farming is popular, Low level monsters lvl 1-5 monsters drop dye at the best rate. Other than that, while farming mass monsters in tyria such as minotaurs, trolls, vermin, it is the number of enemies that you kill in a short period of time, well....eventually you will get your dye drop. As for Elona, not many "mass farming" areas have been discovered, and or their builds. So outside of Kamadan, would be the best choice, good luck, this post has the sole intention of flaming idiots who think dye has no specific drop area, or idiots who think this dye will drop in tyria and cantha. GOOD LUCK

Another thing: I got a green dye drop, 5 mins later teled to Guild Hall and bought another dye. I couldnt not stack this dye on the one that had dropped. They both had the same icon, in opposition to the dyes that dropped before the update.
