I was messing around with my pet and actually found an intersting build that made it more or less invincible. Not quite strong enough for Bladed Aataxes in the UW, but strong enough to tank most enemies the game will throw at you without suffering much, if any damage.

The problem is getting your pet to actually tank and not train enemies right back to you every time you move while its fighting. I find it quite irritating that the developers could not find the time to upgrade pet control while in the process of doing so for henchmen and heroes. /endrant

Just for fun here is the build I came up with. Although it might be old news and I just never heard of it, I don't check the fourms as often as I should.

12 protection prayers
9 + 3 + 1 Beast Mastery

66 Left over attribute points

Life Barrier [Elite]
Life Bond
Call of protection
Charm animal
Comfort animal

Cast Balthazar's Spirit on yourself and you gain energy whenever your pet takes damage

This combo will make your pet invincible to anything under 60 damage and it will take a whopping 11 damage from a 100 damage attack

Try taking symbiotic bond and call of protection also. Then see about those aataxes?
But yeah.. stacking the bonds isn't a new concept.

looks nice.. but I wonder what skills let u actually kill the mobs. The main reason I hate to use pet builds is cuz its really hard to tank with them when ur fighting a few mobs, probably because the lack of controll over it... mabe next patch it will b better =]

Wouldn't it be a few million times more efficient to make your pet worth taking by making it actually do damage and get a Bonder monk to do that?
