Are any of these things useful? I ask this not bitterly, but confusedly. My character (lev 19 atm) has 21 unused skill points. I have acquired every skill offered that I want from the skill trainers. Are these left over skill points of any use or will they be useful in the future?
Dyes: I have several dyes right now. Except for changing armor color, do dyes have any purpose?
Hallowe'en goodies: I have a bag full of gifts from the mad king. Other than the playfulness of the holiday, are these useful?
Skill points, dyes and Halloween goodies

skill points are useful in case later in the game you want to change your build and acquire new skills, or you change your secondary profession and want new skills from that profession.
dyes ARE only useful for changing armor and weapon color.
Halloween goodies are pretty much useless except to have a little fun.

Skill points are everything in this game because its all about the 8 skills you bring into an instance.
So more skill points is always good, you will use them to purchase skills you cant quest for in the future and use them to purchase (plus gold) signets of capture to capture elite skills.

Do you have all 3 chapters? Each one offers skills the others don't have and skill points are how you acquire most of them.

Skill Points- are used to buy skills. You also need them to buy skill Capture Sigs from the Skill trainers to get elites from bosses. There is a title that a player can get for capping Elite Skills. So they are very useful. Also if you change class you will need them to get the proper skills for your build of choice.
Dyes – are for making your armor and weapons that perfect color. They are traded like a stock exchange (Supply and Demand) the less dyes the trader has the more value it will be. Personally I do not horde dyes I sell them right away Blacks seem to drop rarer then any other colors (Not sure on how easy whites drop because they are new)
Halloween Items- are just for fun except there are a couple of them which cause drunkenness which is also a title a player can go for.

And I thought I read that the Ghost in the Box could be used as a distraction or like a decoy in PvE. So... there's a TINY bit of usefulness there.
Honestly, though... it's just for fun. And all the booze can go towards the Drunkeness title
One more thing, for the pumpkin helmet you can apply some of the new runes to them, like the one that reduces daze on you. Neat.
