Right, I got a helmet and I placed on it the +50HP rune but I changed my mind and want to replace it with let's say a +3 weapon rune. Is that doable? I think you can only get 1 rune on any body part armor.. I don't want to salvage the helmet and destroy it(it's obsidian). So if I place a new rune will it replace the old one? Cause then all I have to do is get another +50HP rune instead of buying a brand new FoW helmet

My second question is that I saw in another web site that there is a percentage on what part of your body you get hit. For instance, if I remember correctly, there is a 35% chance to get hit on the chest. So, if you have existing runes on all body parts of the armor, can you add a -3 dmg rune without replacing the already installed one?

My thinking that is that if actually that hit percentage is true, than applaying -3 runes on all body armor parts you will always get -3 damage off. If it's not true, than 1 rune is enough..

Can someone help me on this?

Thanks in advance, Mat .

The new rune will replace the old one. You'll lose the old one.

No, you can't. 1 rune per armor piece. But, an Absorbtion rune is global in nature and covers the entire body.

1 rune per armor piece, that's it. But, an Absorbtion rune is global in nature, meaning one rune will take care of the entire body.

No, correct me someone if i'm wrong but I am pretty sure that they made Absorbtion runes only affect what piece of armour they are equipped to. Same thing with the Knights armour too...

Knights armor absorbtion is localized, as is the knights insignies (afaik). However,as far as I'm aware Absorbtion runes are still global in effect, and thus you only need 1 of them for full effect.

Absorbtion runes did not lose their global property. The only thing that changed about them was that the damage reduction got changed to vs. physical only. But yes, the knight's armor did get changed to being armor piece specific.

So if that's true why would anyone get Knight's armor?Do the effects stuck which means you get -15 damage all together?Cause if not what's the point?I sure hope the -3 rune is global tbh..

No the Knights armor absorptions do not stack with themselves but what will stack is:

Knight/Ascalon armor absorption
Rune of absorption (only need 1 it is global)
Absorption from shield

All are only vs physical damage though.

Knights/Ascalon armor may be good for farming vs physical enemies. I don't use it myself.

Before they nerfed it, nobody bought full sets of knight's armor. People would get knight's boots for the absorbtion bonus (as it was global then) to go with their other armor, especially glads. Now, nobody buys knight's armor at all, because the effect isn't global and does not stack. (Lots of people bought new boots when they changed it. LOL)
