Ritualist Vengeful Farming
Best farming build I have ran across so far. This can farm melee/ranged attackers and some spell casters.
If you were to swap soothing memories for illusion of haste you can farm the Underworld also.
places I've farmed successfully with this: Maatu Keep (Kirin, Undergrowths, Wardens), Nebo Terrace (Skeletons and Tengu), Underworld (Smites and Grasping Darknesses), Senji Corner (Vermin), Marketplace (Jade Brotherhood Knights)
There is probably many more places this can farm just haven't opened up much of the map with my character. Hope this helps out, that article really helped me.

I do the same, mostly I farm in the Crystal Desert near Augury Rock against some scarabs which have ofthen quite nice drops. I tryed to farm as much different enemies as I could and found out that you can farm everything in the Crystal Desert except Wurms, those Elemental rocky like guys and a few centaur mesmers which are incredibly anoying. Sand drakes, Hydra's, all no problem, althought you shouldn't agro more then 5 or 6 of them together, and make sure to use Elemental resistance.
The Thirsty River Devour farming stuff being posted last week, well that's a piece of cake with a Rit/Me, you can kill them in less then a few secs with VwK which you just cast 2 or 3 times and they are gone, but not worth a try cause there drops sucks, I didn't make more then 1k per run.
Also near droknars, you can kill those trolls quite well, althought you need to be a very fast responder when spells ends or health gets low, but it's do-able.
Maybe we should make a topic about what you can farm with a Ritualist/Mesmer, also notice that farming with a Ritualist in Prophecies is hunder times easier then in Factions, cause in Prophecies you can farm anything you find compared to factions were everything below Matuu Keep it getting to a level to own you badly except those kirins and undergrowths.

Even after the AI update? Last time I checked, vermin weren't playing very nicely when it came to gathering them up to kill (they got smart and now run away).

And that's the mistake people keep making. They go about farming with the old mentality of a speed run. Farming now consists of taking no more than 4 enemies to maintain aggro on you. More than that and the fleeing mechanism triggers. Now 3 or 4 is slower than before but still faster than trying to kill everyone at once. For this I find Vermin and and Kirins are prime farming foes now. In the Skyway and Pong Mei, most enemies clusters are groups of 3 or 4. And Pong Mei is good for the ability to craft Rare materials for a profit.

The old method of speed farming works fine - just pick big mobs that consist of only rangers/casters (eg ice imps) and you can still kill groups of 20+ at once.
