"Protector of Tyria" Groups

Add Lady Firecracker to your friends list. Unless something comes up before weekend, I will help you get Protector title. I have gotten it and I know how hard it was to get a group at each mission. My time zone is Central Time, USA. Generally I am on around 11:00 am Saturday.

Depending on your playing times (and timezone) I have a couple of characters that can help you out.

I already have the protectors title, but will help you get the title.

I have a Ne, Me, Mo and Ra available on all missions.

good idea, riverside province is a hard mission with henchies, so i'd like to join in. I have six characters, 4 of them are trying to get protector of tyria. My main character is a monk Manon Xaphikon, add her if you wish, PM me in game and we can do the bonus.

at RoF make sure you always join groups with mission and bonus, abbadons mouth is an exception, as the bonus takes to long for those lazy people to do both, but at RoF (coop) and hells precipice, the bonus is fairly easy, in both you ahve to slay mobs, which are on your way, just don't join mission only groups.

I don't know if you're monk but if you are you may find it much easier to get teams with bonus, as the monk is the most powerfull person in a party, a party without monk usually fails mission, so tell the party leader you only join if you are going to do bonus too, if not?, leave, most of the time he will agree as monks is high demand for ;-)

did mine mostly with henchies (and one guildee, my hubby)....but totally understandable.....still need to kill that dang dragon glint!!! (3 characters still need this one, learned how to camp the king in thk and then did it with my hubby and henchies...was really really easy). And dunes with my non-necro characters........

I'm working on the Protector title with my monk, but he's only in the Maguuma at the moment (doing the missions/bonuses in order). I do have a ranger who can come if you need, however.

I'm willing to help where and when I can. I have tried myself for several months to get into a competent group to do the bonus for HP so I can get 25/25 and POT.

I've been helping people getting Dragons Lair the last week.
Mainly as interrupt ranger.
I've seen some common mistakes that i'd like to address.

For those that want that bonus, there are two things to remember:
- Glint uses Jagged Crystal Skin. This is the Warrior killer (seen 4 of them die in seconds). It triggers on Physical damage and is a stance.
The two counters are: elemental damage and attacks that end stances (like Wild Blow).
- Later in the battle Glint uses Crystal Hibernation, which gives health regen and extra health on elemental damage. The skill takes quite some time to cast and can be interrupted without any problem.

When a team can handle those two skills, you will succeed.

In most cases i've seen, the warriors (no offence) are the problem.
They deal physical damage (and that kills them), so make sure they switch to an elemental weapon. If they don't have that, make sure they 'Wild Blow' the second they see the skill.
Kick every warrior that cannot show an elemental weapon or Wild Blow on the skillbar.
Alternative, you can take a ranger with Greater Conflagration, but attack only when the spirit is up. It's an elite from the last mission, so not every ranger will have that one.

Let at least two members bring interrupts for Crystal Hibernation.
If you cannot find interrupters, make sure you can degen at least 7 pips to counter the regen from the Hibernation skill.
Also, don't use elemental damage at that time.

The energy denying Crystal Haze is annoying, but should not be a real problem, I never saw it cast after Glint was at 90% or less health.
Monks can counter most damage with 5e spells (except the damage warriors do to themselfs when they attack through the Jagged Skin).
A primary or secondary Mesmer can remove the hex without loss of energy with 3 or 4 points in Inspiration (cast on self, exhaust 5e, the rest is free).
Use Inspired Hex to do so.

Glint is not that hard to take down, you don't need daze, blind or other conditions.
It's all about dealing the right kind of damage at the right moment or handle the skills that react upon the damage.
