After you beat Factions, is there any additional content?

IE: the Titan quests when you beat Prophecies.

Well there were things like the competitive missions, alliance battles, elite missions etc, but all of that is long forgotten now that NF is out.

I was only able to get one through it entirely. The thought of doing all those city quests again made be sick to my stomache. I wish there was a way to skip through it and straight to the Kurzick and Luxon areas.

Anywho, you could try to get someone to take you into one of the Elite missions. They are a real challenge. Ummmm....you could battle it out in Fort Aspenwood..if it still has players. umm....well.....there really isn't that much to do after you finish IMO, especially now that NF is out. When I finished a few months back I did the PvP battles for faction points to get my armor then I quit playing until just the other day when NF came out.

I think you just discovered biggest flaw in Factions. No end-game content!

To log on and create player made items.

Or just farm mobs with friends in an explorable area.

Or spend hours at an in-game trading post making obscene amounts of gold.

These are all design decisions.

ANet's aggressively planned expansion schedule reveals that they wish for players to move on and keep moving on. Yes, and buy the expansions. ANet would be really poor at business if they didn't want to encourage purchases.

It's a fine line and a fine balance. I still think ANet is trying to perfect the mix.

For every player that wants to suck the marrow out of the bones of the game, there are 20 others that just blast through (some) of the content with their 5 accounts and then complain about being bored or tired of the game.

As much as militant (lol) PvE'rs don't like to admit: PvP is a HUGE part of the game's design. That 8 skill slot skill bar limit wasn't placed there to keep the Virtual Monster Union happy.

People may actually want to give PvP a chance: beat that game, eh?

Otherwise, you will always run out of content before the next expansion.

GW PvE is in bad shape at the moment, in my opinion. I started the game the first week of October and feel like the game has some social interactivity issues.

Of course, maybe the PvE is purposefully designed to make you want to go out a PK other players, that might be it.

I am disheartened that I still haven't found a regular group to hang out with/adventure with in game.

DAoC, AO, Horizons, AC2 and WoW were all games that I got settled into fairly easily on the social side of things. When I log on now, I see my level 20 characters spread out on the screen, none of whom have even completed the games they started in but now have Heroes to level and many Missions/Bonuses to complete.

Who has time for friendship?

I thought joining a guild was the obvious solution but unfortunately my guildees appeared to have rushed through Nightfall with in 2 days of release while I was still waiting on my order to ship. To them the game is solely about "beating" the game, capturing elite skills...for me, I want it to be about playing with a regular team. And I guess they a doing that, it's just I am not on their "regular" team.

Oh, well. /rant off

I dunno if I prefer it to Nightfall...there's something oddly comforting about the gentle murmer in the back ground when you're wandering through the city.
