I'm not sure if anyone has noticed, but in Kodash Bazaar there is a trade official that you can give 7 contacts too, to get a Ruby, Sapphire or Diamond. I also want to know, if Ruby, Diamond and Sapphire Djinn's drop them. Does anyone know? or have gotten one from them? I assumed they did I just wanna know for sure
Still no uses for Diamonds, but I think it's going to have to do with the Elite mission maybe..maybe a new place like FoW with armor?

Well Rubys and Sapphires are used to make armour so I imagine that Diamonds are too. Whether it is like 15k Vabbi or rather like FoW, I'm not sure. My guess would be that it is like FoW, mainly because Nightfall is supposed to be a PvE'ers paradise and what more does a PvE'er want than the flashest, most expensive armour! I mean, its not like the end game 15k's materials exactly break the bank so they must make something that does, right? I know the Dervish and Paragon get FoW too, but even for Core and Factions characters there needs to be something more... I dunno, thats just my 2 cents.

My guess? There's an armorer in the elite mission who will require diamonds. Similar to Obsidian armor, this will be dubbed "Diamond" armor and be insanely expensive for anyone other than power farmers/eBayers to acquire.

Yeah I'm going to assume that diamonds will be used for armor, if not this game..then the next (longgg wait) I just hope the armor is decent looking! Because I'm not too happy with 80% of the new armors in this game..imo. The good news? I'm going to save a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to geico! I mean..by not buying armors! XD

I've been unlocking alot of areas on my map flooded with these guys..and not once have I seen ANY of the three types of Djinn's drop a jewel..

I've heard that gems can also rarely be salvaged from jewelled daggers, ruby daggers and ruby, sapphire and diamond djinn essences, but I haven't seen it myself.

but until sm1 figures out the way to farm djinn with 2-3 ppl and prove that they do drop jewels (with ss)......

No sighting of a Djinn dropping these gems, but there was an image of someone salvaging a sapphire from a sapphire djinn essence which they drop. I'd reckon the chance for the salvage is pretty rare, though.

I have salvaged exactly 2 ambers from the massive quantities of amber wands/bows/etc that I have gotten in Factions. So in a similar vein, I wholeheartedly believe the idea the djinn essences have a minute chance of salvaging out a jewel. It's probably on the order of 0.1%.

im farming djinns...still nothing, but i've killed bout 200 sofar (forgot to count)
and salvaged dust from the essences, so i used them to make elonian leather for my 15k derv arm

It was three chapters for rubies and sapphires to have a use, don't hold your breath for diamonds.

actually i got quite a few ambers/jades off bosses that i solo/duo farmed on kurzicks/luxons territory. mb we should farm djinn bosses for jewels, just my 2c

In the Prophecies Campaign, they seem to drop from any creature that can drop crafting material (see Drop rate for more information). The probability also seems to increase with the level of the creature, as such, parties killing Shadow Army units in the Fissure of Woe are more likely to come across a Sapphire or Ruby than parties killing Hulking Stone Elementals in Old Ascalon (both are confirmed to drop them).
In the Factions Campaign, they seem to drop from everything (because everything drops crafting materials). They have been recorded to drop at the lower end areas (Shing Jea Island) as well as the high end areas.
