Need Info on IW Mes
Trader of Secrets
Does anyone use the 55hp Illusionary Wep Mes still. I was looking at these references to find another source of income. One idea is solo UW and the other is Titans. None of these I have tested yet. I need advice.

Now for UW, i guess with the just killing smites and aaxtes will not need the SV or AV. The fast casting should decrease chance of interruption. But also I was wonder even if they scatter because of SV/AV and if you chase the monster thats regening does that monster run from you? Because if they do not then you would be like a 55hp war, smacking away with your wep. And if thats the case, then you can probably take on the graspings. Few graspings will be on you at a time, less chance of interrupt and somewhat safer.
Now for the Titans, I really dont know about this because I have not done it. I guess you can merge the 2 build in the 2 links and it will just be a 55hp IW Mes.
Any comments, advice? Thank you.

I need advice on the solo mesmer too. I read an article on another site about it with the build, but I didn't see / hear no one using it. And I was wondering how long an Aatxe+Smite run would take =].

Takes longer than SS necro for sure, but not unbearably long. With IW you do armor ignoring damage, so you just have to hack away at them.
Trader of Secrets
I guess you can do a duo for this. 2 IW mes hacking away.
But how would the SV/AV affect this build in UW? I noticed while emblem farming during the event that some monsters ran away from you and kept on doing so until you killed some others. Which could cause some problems. Also would you keep an aggro on at least one target with SV/AV?
Does anyone have any experience with Titan Rune Farming?

if spirit bond would not have been nerfed, you could have used IW+ scythe, but now you need the -50hp cesta
Kit Engel
Don't bother with the Cesta, just get a scythe with an enchanting mod, and bring Shield of Absorption too. Don't have to worry about 55 hp.
ahbuh
To trigger the scattering you must have 4 or more melee monsters on you, if you have only 3 or less melee monster on you, you be fine.

I tried using a Scyth the other day, the day of the SB nerf, and I wasn't hitting more than 1 aatxe at a time w/ IW on. Anyone else have this problem?

It's just positioning on the scythe, really.
SV/AV helps block the smites from spamming reversal on themselves, and also stops graspings from draining energy or skull cracking you.
I haven't really looked at SoA for farming much, though it is useful (obviously). The scythe build is much faster (as I mentioned in my thread that you linked), so if you can find a way to make it work, more power to you. I probably won't update the thread much because I don't PvE that often save missions or generally wandering around anymore.

I think you can still achieve what you could with spirit bond using shield of absorption or something like that. There's a thread on it somewhere, and the guy is farming with 100+ hp aka no -50 cesta.

This could be done without the SB. The build im thinking of doesnt involve SB, because of the nerf. Not many creatures will be on you at a time anyways. Though, you would want a decent amount to keep the energy flowing.
Also about the scythes, do you think it is them multiple hits that send them scattering. Maybe a single hit wep, like a sword, would work better.

Titan Rune farming is done outside LA, with the titan quest opened.
Ull need a W/Me with IW for it, maybe 55/IW would work as well.
Build is something with: IW, dolyaks, ele resistance, healing sig, I will survive, watch yourself, etc etc

A lot harder with Warrior now, due to the armor/shield nerf. All my pretty 1's and 0's vanished without a trace.
Been doing it with 55 Monk, was a breeze pre-SB nerf, now just a tad more challenging (a small tad...). My maintained enchants are +3 Mending, Watchful Spirit, Essence Bond, and Balth's Spirit. So I keep up +5 regen and get 2 energy each time I get hit. Rounding out the bar are Prot Spirit, Healing Breeze, Mantra of Resolve, and IW. Healing Breeze is just a pain because it takes a second to cast, and under multiple Maelstorms, that can sap your energy really fast. Equipment is the -50 offhand and the Totem Axe.
The upside is that you don't have to use Breeze very often. Only in groups of around 10 or more, or if you're under heavy pressure, wil you need the extra +6 regen to stay alive.
Titan farming is good because it has never been heavily nerfed (not a quest anyone can have any time... they have to earn it and if they ever complete it they can't do it again), and the white armors salvage into iron or steel. When steel got up to 200g a pop (trader buy price), I had around 50 to dump off just from a few Titan runs. You get a lot of runes too, and Molten Claws add up nicely. Also, every gold pile is at least 100g. It takes a long time to clear the zone, but it's fairly profitable.

Nahpui Quarter is also farmable, as long as you avoid the bosses. Possibly you can do with killing the Dragon Boss, but I've never tried it.

With a rit I can solo the whole mission, and call all the bosses except the turtle. Because the mobs is scattered all over the place, you rarely come across a group with more than 3 warriors, so the nerf didnt affect that in any way.

I recently found a friend of mine who had a mes, so I asked him to test out IW on trolls. I works pretty fine instead of the trolls killing themselves through SoJ, you hack your way. Not sure if it is as fast as SoJ though. But still this takes care of the problem of waiting for wussy monsters to kill themselves.
Bloodied Blade
Not sure about the 55/IW, but I'm pretty sure the vwk me/rt works (same build as rt/me, just different professions and slightly less dmg on vwk).
Apple
55 IW mesmer still works. Oh lordy it still works. Bosses in nightfall = lol.

Heres one thing Im wondering about AV/SV. I hear a lot saying that you need to put it on before you aggro the monsters so that they dont run and you can zap their energy.
Now do they mean put on AV/SV before the monsters start attracting toward you or can you do this while they are charging at you?
Also one other thing: lets say I put on SV before I even have monsters attracted to me and then I run towards them to zap their energy. SV runs for a while and just before it runs out I put on AV.
Do the monsters run now because I have just put on AV?
Thanks for the help everyone. I may sound lazy, but its crunch time for schoolwork and college apps.
