Have gold drops decreased in NF?

I just beat NF last night...I got a grand total of 2 golds (a rune and a sword) through drops, and I opened 3 or 4 chests, all purple. I highly doubt I have any anti-farming code on me, a month or so ago I stopped chest running. However, I have noticed that my party members arent really getting any golds either, so it's definetly not just me. Is Anet trying to fix the economy or something?

My favorites are the NON max req13 purples I am getting from margonite chests. It has been like this all the way across Elona for me. Anet needs to remove the log from their @#$. We should not start out with freaking farm code in a new chapter because we were working on titles in a prior chapter.

I did every mission with real people (maybe 1 or 2 heroes) and I rarely saw a gold drop, for anyone. Questing I did both with myself and with others...but even in previous chapters when I went with henchies, I got more golds. Also, the chests are terrible

im at 16/20 missions, henched all quests, explored everything possible and got about 20-30 golds.
as for chests; they are bad, but i havnt tried the good ones.
solo farming (as..secret^^ farming djinns ;P), well, i killed about 6 of them and got 2 golds.
so nope, its not nerfed :P i honestly thought it increased - got 7 greens on the way as well.

I have also beaten most of Nightfal and most of my drops have been gold, so I do not think that they changed the drop rate but made it harder for previous farmers to get the good stuff (also I hardly ever get greens but I got one while exploring with henchies).

I got about 7 gold runes, all with insignias, several gold weapons, some yielding 15^50 inscriptions, and many blue armors which also gave me some insignias. I got my full centurion and knight set of insigs almost entirely from dropped armors. (all before reaching the Bazaar in Vabbi)
But I agree on the chests, this purple nonsense is complete bs.
Although I can get 5 gold armors an hour if I wanted, I've found a most excellent farming location for it. But I no longer have any use for the runes, and I have all the insigs I need. Maybe I'll go on a rune/insig unlocking spree...

Ive been playing since it came out...Ive gotten 10 gold drops or so. Out of 50 chests...Id say 6 were gold. A few of the golds we 15^50...+5energy...some nice mods...but no where near what im used to...

I'm only past mission 3 but I've had lots of blues, a few purples and a green, no golds yet =(

I got a pretty sweet gold scythe on the noobie island. Sure it's not max but it has a max Vampiric mod and a max inscription on it. Hook Scythe skin, which is a pretty nice skin for scythes. I think it is a matter of luck more or less and not any nerf on Anet's part. It always seems though that there are people that blame their bad luck on some anti-farming code, which has never ben proven to exist I might add.

Around halfway through it now, 30-40 chests opened and have gotten 3 golds. I have picked up around 4 gold drops, zero greenies for me still. I am a little dissapointed that everyone has to open the chest now, just because the first person's loot is gold doesnt mean anyone else will get a gold from it.

got around 10 golds so far, almost finished nightfall. Pretty good golds even, 14^50 and 15% enchanted inscriptions, and some sup. paragon runes. and I have only opened 1 chest so far

Got a gold axe (not max) with +19% below 50 and +1 axe (20%).
Merched an other gold (ele wand, nothing special).
Had a gold armor drop in last mission, but was dead and failed mission, so that one is gone now

I got 5+ golds from drops in missions going through the story with henchies and heros. Thats 5 more than I EVER had drop for me going through Chapter 1 or Factions storyline..
I also have opened ~50 Vabbi Chests, and get atleast a 1 in 3 gold chance >_> no worse than any other chest I have farmed at.

I've beaten NF yesterday, reached 73% in cartographing elona without the starting island, and started buying keys in Vabbi;
Got 1 green, and a little more than 26 golds this past week (that's what my ranger needed for her wisdom tittle)
1 really good scythe, 1 really good fire staff, 3 sup runes, and quite a few nice upgrades/insignas.
Didn't get a single gold drop from margonite chests (though i dropped one from a shadow).

I have gotten 1 gold in NF, not rushing through, while mapping, and am up to the Realm of Torment. I'd say that is more than just luck.
Also, I usually travel with a party of 6, me, 3 heroes, and 2 henchies.

I went ettin farming for the past few days and whilst I'd normally get a full bag of rune after 2~3 runs, they don't seem to drop as often now.
Infact I was surprised to find out that I could come back from a run without getting any runes.

I love margonite chest first margonite chest i opened was a shield i sold for 95k second was a +5e Scythe req 8 and on my ranger iv gotten 6 gold in 1 day, crappy golds but still

I got 6 gold weapons while in vabbi. 3 of them had req 9 and all max mods
and acording to my wisdom title track, I have gotten over 25 golds just playing through the story

I dont know why you lot are getting like 2 golds for every 30 chests or whatever. Try running the vabbi chests in yahtendi valley i get loads og golds including a very nivce 15^50 fiery gladius which Koss is making good use of ^^

Yeah the drops are crap in nightfall. I've completed it with 1 of my chars and i'm at the sanctuary with 2 others but non have had a single decent gold from a chest and I've probably had about 4 golds drops between the 3 chars, all of which were merchant food.
Considering nightfall is such a good game, the drops & chests are complete and utter crap.

1st..some don't know but chest can be gold for one person and grape for another in same party so the days of letting one person check then the rest either skipping or opening are over. 2nd..lots of gold drops out there and more than usual green..1/2 way thru game and 4 greens already. and 3rd yes the golds do seem to be a bit weak in comparison to the other campaigns

Completed nightfall and got one gold drop. A max bramble blade 15% w/hexed req9.
I only got 1 throughout factions too so i guess im just lucky.

Actually no gold is weak, you can upgrade each one to be perfect. So if you get a req 9 you have a perfect req 9 no matter the stats on it. Because it can be made perfect. I don't know about you guys but I've been getting 15^50s all over the place. +30 shield handle -2 in stance and while enchanted...

Lucky you ppl, all are talking about how many golds and perefct items they alrdy got in NF and that makes me jelaous...( ) I need to make the last mission and until now i didnt got even 1 Gold drop...only 2 purpels, I only soo How a friend got a perfect axe 6-27 dmg but it has 15/-10 and since u can get the insignia (armor +10 while attacking) Its kinda GOOD. I just dunno how is it possible that i didnt got any golds yet and im trying to get money for my perf. Brute sword and later Elemental sword (MY SECRET PLAN: Waiting until the price goes down ) so i still got a lot of work to do and to get the end game WAR 15k armor...omg and i got only 40k...im in a big PAIN.

Margonite Chests are found through the Vortex where all the bad things live.
They certainly do seem few and far between but one thing I have noticed is that when I find one there are often another 1 or 2 not too far away. Same goes for Vabbi chests. I've had more luck getting golds out of the vabbi and ancient elonian chests...although it is just luck (before someone feels the need to point that out for me
