Please post strategy tips here.
I've tried this mission a couple of times, and like the whole idea but the # of objectives just keeps growing as I go along. I get only to where the gates have been busted open to the inner city, and thats it.
What is Lionna (sp?) supposed to be doing? Kormir asks her to "make warriors" so I assumed she meant minions. She doesn't do anything that I can see.
I tried to make Donkoro a Necro secondary, but he spends all his time making minions and caring for them to the detriment of the other characters.

Dont make your monk a minion master, stick to healing only, maybe with Prot Spirit.
If you bring Koss, equip him with Shields Up! and Watch Yourself

Thanks for the Wiki link. I just learned you had to take Donkoro, which I always did anyway, but I'm thinking they require him solely because he is in the cutscene.

Try to pull some of the bowmen down the stairs in the area past the broken gate. If you charge the stairs you will have trouble. Use your flags if your henchmen are leroying too much. Also, you can and probably should have max armor for this one.
My first time through with my Tyrian Ranger I hadn't even lvled my heroes at all and I didn't know party size was 8. So it was just me and my awsome tank of a pet and 3 heores that ended up lvling quite a bit. I thought it was hellish but I made it through. I laughed at myself after when I figured out I could have padded the party to 8.
I did it today with my lvl17 dervish and 3 lvl 17 heroes and 4 other hench and it was a breeze.
Oh try to pack some stance breaking skills so you can get past some of the rangers who like to block everything.

Must be nice it was a breeze for you. This makes my 7th try so far. I use the flags, and just pull mobs slowly, and and and and. As soon as that gate gets busted, that first set of elite at the bottom of the stairs just wipes me out.
1/2 my gang is dead when they are pulled. I can't even imagine what taking on those bowmen are going to be like.

Im having alot of trouble doing this mission a second time. First time going through with my paragon was a breeze, but now that i take my tyrian warrior through this mission, I can't get past the part where you have to break the gate thing. Also Liona doesn't seem to want to make minions like the other poster said. Tried this like 3 times now. :[

Olias as MM (from prophecies) is a great help whenever I do that mission
let the minions be the frontlines

Olias the MM helped my Tyrian warrior get through this as well. I intentionally went in with just my heroes. Olias (MM/death nova), Dunkoro (pure heal), and Jin (pure interrupt). I took Wild Blow (much needed throughout the game to deal with Whirling Defense), Hamstring (to chase down runaway softies) and whatever else you want to deal dmg.
it wasn't too hard, managed to complete it with just me and the 3 heroes. Kill monks first, then Scribes. Specially when fighting the first captain who keeps summoning - kill any monks/eles he summons then go back to attacking him.
After picking up the 2 npcs there will be a spot before the next battle where there are bodies for the npc to raise minions - she uses the new elite minion spell.

I discovered too a 'bug' with Kormir. If you take the bonus, you attack that first set of Kournan's up to the far left. If Kormir doesn't reach all the way to the top, your henchies and heroes will follow you only so far before they turn back too her. I died once from that. I couldn't get them to stop returning to her until I realized her path required she move right up to the top stair.
That needs changed. If the people die, done. The pathing of the toon also needs changed. If Kormir (or any merchant or collector or priest) is in the way, my toon won't move sideways to get out of the way. Kormir got me stuck up against a wall once in this mission. I could get her to move. Damn irritating.
As for the minions, I couldn't get her to raise any at all. Something wrong there if its not 100% all the time.
