Botanical Research problems

I'm stuck on the Botanical Research quest, I'm not able to complete it, because when I go to the Garden of of Seborhin (where the npc is I'm supposed to talk to (in the mission)) the npc doesn't have an explenation mark above his head, and when I go outside and into the explorable area, the area is completely changed and the quest tells me to get out of that area...

Does anyone know what to do??

I've had the same exact problem you do and havent been able to finish the quest at all. Even on my second character. Seems like there's quite a few broken quests going around.

I didn't have any problems with Botanical Research. Just go into the Garden of Seborhin explorable area and run down to the circular area to find the Horticulturist.

i had the same problem. it happened because for the "heart or mind" quest i chose to defend the village instead of the gardens. afterward i tried to go to the garden and it was changed and filled with margonites and titans. after beating the game last night i went back to the gardens and it was changed back to normal, and i was able to do the quests. also, i think you need talkhora in your party, the gaurd says he can only let you in if you're accompanied by a member of a royal family.

Following the Green Quest Arrow takes me to the mist gate into Garden of Seborhin from Forum Highlands, entering the Mist gate takes me to Nightfallen Garden and the Green Quest Arrow points back to the Mist Gate to Forum Highlands, the Green Quest Arrow then points me back into Garden of Seborhin but again that gate takes me to Nightfallen Garden .......<repeat for 15 hours go to bed and do it again>... ~Rud


I followed the story line, and this quest was not offered until after the garden had changed, there appears to be a large number of quests that trigger behind you (in towns you have already cleaned out loooong ago,) on varyous independent triggers as you progress thru the story line, there appears to be no purpose for doing this other than to make the game chaotic and unplayable. ~Rud

kk after you do the heart and mind quest and it changed, you are no longer able to go into the garden explorable..alone Just grab someone who hasnt done heart of mind quest and go to tihark orchard, say ull tip em for like 30 seconds of their time, Make sure you have tahlkora in your party, because you need royalty. Anyways if you go out you will see that the gate that is open for you is now closed. Talk to the guard and he will let you in. The guy you brought with can stay or leave, his choice. This will definately help anyone who wants their 100% exploration (I already have mine )
Btw, someone get back to me on this, does Morghan count as royalty? Because as you guys remember Morghan was in the Tihark Orchard mission (I think).
