Monk Build (still in production) that I havn't seen.
Aska
Profession: [Mo/P]
Name: [No real name as of yet]
Type: [PvE so far]
Category: [Healer]
Attributes: [As much in Healing, Divine Favor, rest in Motivation any extra goto protection as of now.]
Skills Set:
[skill]Orison of Healing[/skill][skill]Reversal of Fortune[/skill]
[skill]Signet of Synergy[/skill][skill]Aria of Restoration[/skill]
[skill]Mend Ailment[/skill][skill]Remove Hex[/skill]
[skill]Healing Touch[/skill][skill]Resurrect[/skill]
Summary: Well, I use Orison of Healing, and Reversal of Fortune to keep others healed. I use Signet of Synergy if I and an Ally need healing, or if someone needs healing and my other heals are charging (doesn't happen often). If I need alot of healing, I cast Aria of Restoration then Healing Touch which gets me back to tip-top shape, it also keeps casters alive if a few need a quick heal. Remove Hex and Mend Ailment are self explainitory.
Notes & Concerns: My only concern is I'm a little early in the game, so I don't have alot of choices when it comes to skills. But it works very well!
Credit: As I said previously, I haven't seen any Mo/P's so I feel kind of unique. If anyone wants to add on, or give me suggestions on skills I get later in the game to use. That would be great!

Resurrect is a big no-no. Next to Restore Life it's the worst rez in the game.
Rebirth or Sunspeare Rez sig.

Oh really? I do have Sunspear Rebirth, but it didn't seem as good a Resurrect, at least not this early on. Those are my only two res skills right now. I also don't like Rebirth because I lose all my energy. But, Sunspear Rebirth Signet I can only use once until a morale boost, which is why I brought Res... any paticular reason not to bring it this early on? Thanks for the criticism.

Hmmm... I don't like it
Healing and prot never appealed to me, pick one or the other, don't be mediocre in both.
I know it's a noob build, but energy management would be good, and don't even bother with a rez, except lik vahn said, sunspear or regular res sig.
When you get to the mainland cap glimmer of light when you can, it's a nice skill.

Hm... well thank you guys for the comments. I just got through the first mission, and got congrats on my "Monking". I felt good about that! I am not quite sure yet on what I will do about my Res situation. So... yea. That Signet of Synergy saved me and my Allies a whole lot during that mission. I'm glad I get to use it.
Oh! If anyone was wondering why I ordered my skills that way in the first post, it is because I use the 7,8,4,5,1,2,0, and Del for res, on my numpad, and the 9 and 6 on the numpad to cycle party members.

First off,Restore life saved many an idiot from missions being ended, but more current spells are better in speed and range.
Healing and protection can work hand in hand, but as I have said before, your build will always lean towards one or the other.
I'm not as versed in Paragons yet, but monks I know. Your monk build is that of a pre searing Monk, fresh off getting his first res spell.
You have the basics covered, and the shouts seem rather useful. But the questionable part is that you have no anti pressure spells, like healing breeze to counteract degen that cant be quickly removed if the removal spells have already been used.
Also, what are you using of Div fav? The Paragon shouts and skills are powerful, but you aren't using you Primary attribute to its fullest.
Their's room for improvement, is all that I am saying. Also, healing touch is good for a self heal, but so is Orison. You may want to look into Heal Other or its copy spell from factions to get a big healing boost that takes advantage of DiV Fav.

Yes, I don't plan on using much protection. But as of now it is a nice way to give people a quick HP boost. As for Divine Favor, it is my highest attribute after Healing Prayers. So in order is would be Healing Prayers, Divine Favor, Motivation, Protection Prayers. I think I might drop protection once I get a broader range of healing spells. As for resurrecting people, I still bring Resurrect. Even though it is weak, I have an infinate supply. I also never res while in battle (unless I absoloutly have to) which makes it even less of a big deal. If someone dies, and I'm about to die. I use Resurrect, then Signet of Synergy on them and we are both full again. Nice combo!

Good, don't plan on using much protection.... some monk will disagree, but I hate protection...
And signet of synergy does look pretty nice, just try and find some energy managment and a cool elite and you'll be set for the rest of the game

That's the reason why rebirth rocks so much.
- Monks should never rez in battle so energy costs dont matter a lot.
- Rebirth is THE best out of battle rez as it transports your ally to your location, wich should be outside of monster agro.
What use is rezzing someone if it only makes the enemies agro him, kill him, give him another 15% death penalty and maybe even agro the rest of the party while you're weakened ( 1 player dead. ) Better waste all your energy preventing that and wait a bit more after the battle.

[skill]Healing Breeze[/skill][skill]Aria of Restoration[/skill]
[skill]Words of Comfort[/skill][skill]Mend Ailment[/skill]
[skill]Healing Touch[/skill][skill]Resurrect[/skill]

most prefer mend condition instead of mend ailment. if your alert about your surroundings you can generally avoid conditions on yourself as you'll be in the backline. 2 second cooldown makes it more spammable in condition heavy areas.

Um... where might I find that?
