This is such an obvious issue that it's probably been beaten to death and I just wasn't here to assist, having acquired Prophecies about a year after its release. If that is the case, I'll gladly provide the oil to be flamed.
In any event, this is my gripe: why can't we walk normally? Why must we run all the time? Walking doesn't have any practical game application per se, naturally, and most of the time we do want to just rush from one place to the next, but why on earth isn't there the option to just walk? A simple Shift-click or Shift-Direction keys, for example? It's not like the animations for that aren't there already, like when you get slowed by a hex (and on a side note, I think it looks pretty cool to walk with a hammer on the shoulder). NPCs walk normally around town, and I bet many people would like to be able to do that too, whether to position and pose for screenies or, on another note, for roleplaying situations.
Your thoughts, please.

This is an awsome concept for things like movies and trying to position yourself next to another person to sync dance with them. This is very possible because the animation is already there and what would it hurt if some people walked around town. I agree with you so much ill sign it again

I have wondered the same thing but didn't want to open a hornets nest. RF-Online has a cool system in place that may not take that much to implament. You can switch from running to walking by pressing a button, and there is a Stamina Bar that when fullyou can wrun all you want. But while running it goes down and after it drops to zero you are forced to walk until it reaches 25% full again. A-Net could try this out to see how p[layers like it , get some feedback then implament if it is welcomed favorably.
