First, a bit of backstory to the idea: I'm in a guild with about four of my very good (RL) friends. We all bought the game at the same time and named a guild after our old paintball team, and played for a while, and had a good time. Lately, though, I've been wanting to expand my GW horizons; my friends play exclusively lower-level (ie, non-FoW or UW) PvE, and they're happy with that. I, however, get really bored with this; I like to play through a campaign once or twice, but beyond that I just farm for an hour or two a day and get tired of it, and go find some other distraction. I woud like to learn some GvG or HoH or do some high-level areas that can keep me interested, so I'm kicking around the idea of handing the guild over and trying to find a new one. The problem, however, is that we all like to chat together through guild chat, so if I leave, I'm left out of the conversations which I enjoy so much, and PM's aren't a viable alternative since they're limited to one person at a time. So...

[/end backstory]

My thought just now was some sort of chat group; either a new tab in the Friends window, or a seperate window altogether, in which you can invite people to your chat group (much like inviting them to your party, but not limited by town or district); chat groups have a seperate tab in the chat menu (say, shift+6 or something) to communicate with people in the same chat group with you. Nothing huge and elaborate, just something simple to keep in touch with multiple people from different guilds.
