Ermm.. Glitch?

I havent brought a foreign character over to Elona today and since i still cant beat shiro.. I decided to bring my monk over.

However....

I cant take any quests besides the Acolytes one (which i succesfully finished) and the command training (Ignoring it). First spear Dehvad told me to talk to Castellan Puuba for the battle preparations.. But puuba doesnt say anything :| Is this a glitch or am i having a noob moment here?

If you read the requirements for the command training, you need to take a hero with you before talking to... huh... did it really say you had to talk to the Castellan? Anyway because its a primary quest, you have to do it in order to progress through the storyline.

... My dervish never did the command training. Ill attempt it but beh. The Castellan was for the quest
"The battle Preprations"
THat was the option provided at the time. I clicked on it and dehvad told me to go there. Problem is I was never given that quest in the first place.

Okay sorry for the double post but now im getting desperate.
Im currently in Zehlons Reach and there is an NPC called Hatuk that gives a quest and yells "psst". Even after finishing his dialogue i cannot take his quest. Now ive reached Jokanur's diggings and have entered the mission. So does this mean Foreigners cant do Istani quests?

Basically, yes. There are a couple quests you can do, but most of them are for native Elonians. You should do the primary quest line that started with the quest coming over to Elona. Battle Preparations is the quest you get when you first come over. Do that and you will soon find yourself at the Consulate Docks mission. The missions before that are available, but you will not get primary quests to take you there, as a foreigner.

Theres my problem. I was never given battle preparations. It was onyl given in a buggy state. I get my heroes.. and then nothing. Zilch.. Nada. Like i said above, i then went to first spear dehvad which gave me a buggy response. I just finished Blacktide and Jokanurs. Ill edit this post after I log in to check if i can go to the consulate docks.

Even though the command training quest isn't a primary quest, I'm pretty sure that you have to do it to go father in the game. Once you do that, then Castellan Puuba should say something. At least, that's what I had to do for my monk and assassin.

Just so you know, you don't have to do any missions on istan except for the one at consulate Docks, unless you are playing on a char born in Elona.

Do you have the 'battle preparations' quest currently in your quest log? If not go back to the docks where you first landed and see if you can get it there (that's the origin of it). If you already have Koss and Melonni then you must have had it at some point. Maybe it got abandoned or you can abandon it and get it again from the docks.


edit: and yes you do some of battle prep to get koss etc then you talk to first spear and you have to do command training to continue with the rest of battle prep iirc.

Command training is the one with the heroes, Never did it with my dervish and hes having a nice tour of The Realm of Torment

Ive checked Sun Docks.. nothing. All i got, primary quest wise was a quest to go to kormir and a quest to get my acolyte. Did them both. Then the game locked me out by giving me ... nothing. THen you know the rest.. Talked with first spear Dehvad which gave me a buggy response to a quest i dont even have.

Ill go attempt the command training quest and Hopefully itll let me go ahead.
