well i can answer the first question about the skills: all heros can use any of their profession specific skills that you have unlocked on ur account (works like pvp when you create a new char)
as for your 2nd question: there is no difference between the heros, if you outfit two heros of the same profession with the exact same skills they will behave exactly the same. So it's up to u which character skin u prefer

I have a question since you mentioned it is like PvP characters.
If one was to purchase the PvP pack with all of the skills, would that allow one to use them on their heros?
I have no time to run out and skill farm the professions of my heros and would like for them to have the best skills.
If yes, then does the factions(or assuming there is a nightfall pack) have all of the skills including those of the prior chapter, or is it just the eliete skills from that campaign?

Also most of the heroes are required to be brought along in a mission/quest along the way. That is, sometimes Dunkoro is required, Melonni on another, and Koss on another. So you can not choose to use only the three you want the whole time - though to level them you just swap them out when getting quest rewards and they are all level 20 pretty quick.
It's usually not a big deal if you have unlocks. I have pretty much none for the paragon and I had to take him (kinda a spoiler if you already know his name) on one of the later game missions. Was basically a useless character that sucked up res sigs.
