Secret Portal from Tyria to Elona

Not sure if this is the right place for this but while I was doing some exploration in the Arid Sea I came across a Forgotten with a portal, when I talked to him he gave me the option to travel to Crystal Overlook. I took the option and was transported to the furthest reaches of Elona. I have no idea whats over there, I am yet to explore but I have added some pics of locations if people want to explore this. I'm guessing its more for people that want to exploration title.

Yea I noticed this guy when I was mapping over on the Crystal Overlook side. Talked to him and he took me to the Crystal Desert, and when I got there I was allowed to go back too. But nothing too fancy is in the crystal overlook, just another place to explore in Elona.
What's pretty cool is that you can see the giant statue in Tyria thats in the desert from the Crystal Overlook in some places

Yes I noticed this to, cool thing is you can tell where Elona and Tyria connect on the globe. I wonder if someone could manip the 2 together?

There are 2 many posts of people 'discovering' this. I think I posted the first after 3 days from release. Look for my post and find out for more discoveries after you complete the game.

I also saw the secret portal, but I was unable to use the portal. It said I wasn't aware of the dangers, so he didn't grant me acces. I have no idea why, I'm lvl20 and yes I have Nightfall. :/ Btw I tried it with my Ritualist

I actually discovered this the other way around, explored all of Elona and found it from the Elona side.
There is a quest in the Crystal Outlook, which takes you through the portal to the crystal desert to do something
As an amusing side effect you can take C1 henchies back with you into Elona this way (at least until you enter an outpost then they disappear)

Once you get there from the Crystal Overlook, can you explore the Crystal Desert and do all the missions and ascend, etc.

i've finished nf with my derv, but cant travel to the Desert...its np, maby Tyria is way too dangerous for my char lol
and its seems my ranger cant survive in The Desolation either
maby u should beat both chapter to use this damn portal?
my last chance is to get to the Cryst Desert in Tyria with my derv, to the Oasis at least, and i'll try to get that quest from Shanrah in Overlook again (but why should i? i'll be there already...)

I belive you need to do the wurm mission in order to traver from tyria to elona, and I'm guessing you need to ascend in order to go from elona to tyria.

At Crystal Overlook, a NPC gives you a quest to travel to Tyria to eliminate "Queen Kephket"
You proceed to transport to Tyria, kill off Kephket, then travel back to Crystal Overlook to redeem your quest.
The bones you inspect are give you the story line better. I remember these bones because it was sad to read it the first time through Chap 1.

Can you access towns via Crystal Overlook? Does that mean why ascended Prophecies Chars can get the jump on Elona?
