Then im sorry lol.... its just in a little fanatic about the desert, i make chars in prophecies just to skip the whole storyline and go to the desert and ascent on lvl 10... nd spend the rest of hteir lives there, till they get boring

For whoever said cantha is NE of tryia it is south.

More specifically, the northwest coast of Cantha is directly south of Elona, as per page 47 of the Nightfall manual.

I see, I can definatly see how the white boxes with red x'x totally match up with pure speculation.

Can someone clarify how does an elonian born char get access throught this god damned telepoter as i cannot find a ny quest, i have tha bone palace, in fact I have finished the game and I a m now intrigued with this.

Does the the great horn of some dude found in the middle of an elemental convention in the crystal overlook has anything to do with this?

As far as I can tell, you have to have already gone to the Crystal Desert. Although I've only reached this point with a Tyrian.

Elonian chests have always been in the Desert. It's ANCIENT Elonian chests that spawn in Nightfall.

Elonian chars that have not been to the crystal desert in tyria cannot go there or obtain the quest line, nether can canthian chars of the same status. If you don't have proph you can't go there. There is a quest in elona that is tied to the great horn or zaholuma (or whatever his name is) and has nothing directly to do with the portal or the tyrian crystal dessert. There have always been elonian chests in the desert of tyria, they are, afterall elonian refugees. The quest line is to find some remains, then go kill the queen scarab (drops the keptefes [sp?] refuge staff) outside of augury rock and is called "Family Ties" or some sort of thing along those lines.

Just to throw one in here, but i took a quest off a spirit while exploring, the quest was to find some ones husband,so off i went following the arrows and got to a portal that transported me to crystal desert where i had to kill a bug boss to release the souls of 2 kids all related to the story, then make my way back, al in all the quest took me nearly 2hours.

the quest giver was located in a abadoned town in the next zone after shattered ravines, far West i think, i will try and locate her later if possible and give some more details.

i was planning to go back for the green off the bug boss but don't know if its a tyrian boss or NF exclusive.

With my Tyrian character i did the quest today, what i read so far confirms what i thought you have to have been at least in the Crystal desert so you have to own Prophecies and i think you also need to be ascended. That said it's a neet and very smart little trick of Anet to try to make those players who have'nt got prophecies buy a copy of it to see what it is all about.

Also, has anyone done the Pilgrimage quest in Crystal Overlook? if you completed it and then go to Augury and go outside you 'll see them standing outside thanking you.

Nice little sidestep wich makes me wonder if there are more

Jiaju Tai says Cantha's south of Kryta, and Jatoro Musagi says Shing Jea Island is southwest of Istan. I think it's safe to assume that there's just a typo in the corsair entry. As for the northern areas, they could be north of Cantha (and Kryta) across Giant's Basin, north of Ascalon in or beyond the Charr territories or north of Elona and east of Ascalon. As for the question of what continent the northern half of the Crystal Desert (the part that hasn't been consumed by The Desolation) is part of, the dividing line between Tyria and Elona is fairly arbitrary, with both continents having a reasonable claim on the Crystal Desert.

And Kepkhet Marrowfeast (the bug boss) is not quest-specific, and is the only Prophecies boss outside of Grenth's Footprint and Sorrow's Furnace that actually drops a green item.

That's pretty cool how Elona and Tyria match up like that. Even if it is just a bug... A MAN CAN DREAM, DANGIT.

OK, its now established you need to have been to the crystal dessert in Tyria, fair enough, but, what is the great horn of juhtah for?

My Derv cannot get any single quest in this area.

I went and explored the area in the area where you get the worm elite and found an on outpost there The lost Lair (or summin like that, I am writing this at work).

I am gonna do a few quests here tonight and maybe there is something that is connected to this Horn.

Another question.

If you have a char that has the Crystal Dessert and has not tavelled this far into Elona, can he/she travel from the dessert to elona?

I am going to try that out tonight too.
