1. You die when the time runs out, the point isnt to complete the mission, but to get as high of a score as you can. In saying that, you can't complete the mission, you will die regardless.

2. I havent gotten that high, but the green bar is an indicator of the top score that was achieved for that day. If you fill up the green bar, then you've beaten the top daily score. If the challenge missions are anything like factions, then you get like 5k gold or something similar.

3. Random drops of armour will appear in your inventory whenever you finish the mission. These armour drops are for your hero when talking to a Hero Armourer.

There is no limit. It lasts forever.

However, the longer you last, the higher chance you'll get an Armor drop for Hero Armor.

I've noticed you have a chance of getting a piece everytime you kill a Guild Lord, is it bound to time?

Ok so do i understand this right:

1) u always die when the time is up / mission is over / Objektive not reached

2) u can maybe do a highscore and get nothin ...or maybe just kill 1 "Boss" (Guild Lord , Ghost...) and get something ?

which means the chance of getting a armor piece doesnt actually depend on your score right ? (it just highers the chance but still is random)

that right?

If you do get an armor, you'll get it immediately after killing one of the above enemies. If it doesn't appear in your inventory then, you didn't get one. It's random if you get one or not; you have a good chance of getting your first few armors, then it becomes difficult to get them after your fourth armor drop or so.

What Zinger said is, the more time you have (ie the more Guild Lords you kill for bonus time), the more time you have to get to the next Guild Lord, the better chance for drops. Of course you want to last as long as possible in the mission!

I scored 109 (If I remember right, would have gotten higher but I got reckless because I was getting impatient, I just wanted to try it out ) on the Shadow Nexus challenge mission in Gate of torment and got 2 pieces of mysterious armor. I think I killed about 8 portal mages. That is a 4 person mission though, so it may have different drop rates I dunno.

im doing the Shadow Nexus for maybe the 20th time now...

always got around 60-100points...and i dint even get my first armor yet
(never gotten any before)

and then it shall even become more difficult the more armors u find ? oO

well...ummm ok....

Edit: finally got one myst. armor at ~25th try...
had like 120kills and got it at killing a portal ghost at around ~100kills....

maybe there is a certain point u must reach...

but maybe convince me to the opposite...maybe some1 got 1 for a very early kill....i cant tell

But (presumably offtopic?) it seems a waste of time to restart. The loading time alone for the mission might cancel out any benefit of time you save going to the next guild lord ... might as well stay in the mission and keep killing. IMHO.

I think I'll stick with my present strategy, try to stay alive and killing as long as possible per entry into the mish.

proper way to do challenge mission is simple, just get much point as u can so u can get green armor drop.
more points = higher chance of getting armor.

for all 3 challenge missions, u prob have like 40% chance of gettin armor if u get 100 points, 80% if u get 150 points. (i'm talkin rough % here)

i dont think u can get armor by killin just 1st guild lord(or mage or mad spirit) n restart. even if that works it will be slower than playing it normally unless u r really bad.
